My Next Life as a Villainess Season 2 will hit the local small screens this summer. After waiting for more than a year, fans and followers now obtain confirmations from the heads of the series.

On Friday, the official website of the material dropped the official trailer for the upcoming installment. Apart from revealing the opening theme and sequence of the new season, the updates on the platform, also, unveiled the official release date of Season 2.

Comic Book said that the new episodes will start to drop on July 2 in Japan. While the details of the plot, as well as the number of episodes, remain undisclosed, the public obtained several other significant pieces of information about the upcoming material.

The publication noted that My Next Life as a Villainess Season 2, which carries the official title of My Next Life as a Villainess X, has returning staff and cast members. These include artist angela, as well, to perform the opening theme.

As revealed, the track is titled, "Andante ni Koi o Shite!." As for the ending theme, Shouta Aoi is, also, returning for the material, "give me ♡ me."

Many of the original cast members will reprise their roles for Season 2. But, based on the recently released trailer, the new installment will welcome several character and cast additions, as well.

Anime News Network said that these new celebrities include Kousuke Toriumu for the role of Rufus Brode. Takehito Koyasu, Sumire Uesaka, Yui Ogura, and Yusuke Shirai, also, joined the cast for the new characters. They lent their voices for the roles of Geoffrey Stuart, Susanna Randall, Selena Burke, and Ian Stuart.

As for the production and technical staff, mostly are returnees except for the new prop designer, 3D director, and credit for music production. These roles are being filled by Susumu Matsunaga, Yuki Kuribayashi, and Nichion, respectively.

Meanwhile, the series heads remain the same. Keisuke Inoue has directed the project since the pilot season. Megumi Shimuzu oversaw the scripts, and Miwa Oshima adapted the original character designs from the manga.

There is no new information yet as to when the English version of My Next Life as a Villainess Season 2 will arrive. But, if it matches the pilot's timeline, the materials may hit Crunchyroll the following next month.

As fans may recall, the first season debuted in April 2020 exclusively in Japan. The streaming platform immediately offered the episodes to the locals. Crunchyroll, then, added the English dub episodes in May 2020 to cater to the international audience.
