With several plot twists and shockers, Recent Highlights noted the final phase of the war is about to begin. Fans are about to see a younger Yamato in the next installment, talking to a samurai who will inspire her to join the battle Oden predicted that would happen 20 years after his death.

A post on Reddit revealed the title would be "A Certain Someone" and a major flashback would begin from when Yamato was only eight years old and after Oden recently died. The title seems to refer to the mysterious samurai who freed Yamato after his father left him in chains for calling himself Oden.

As it appears, the mysterious samurai is Shimotsuki Ushimaru, the last daimyo of Ringo in Wano Country who looks exactly like Zoro. After a full-of-revelation flashback, "One Piece" Chapter 1024 will return to the present timeline.

Here, Yamato can be seen asking his father why he has to take away his and the Wano Country's freedom. Kaido calls him "greenhorn" and says the world cannot be explained with simple questions and answers.

The battle, then, begins and they attack one another at the same time, using Raimei Hakke or Thunder Bagua. By the looks of it, the two may have used Color of the Supreme King Haki as a big explosion happens with black lightning bolts when their attacks collide.

It seems like Yamato has now managed to become equal to his father for the first time. From here, the new chapter ends and, fortunately, there will be no break next week.

Meanwhile, for starters, some may have been wondering why Yamato is being referred to as a man. In fact, this has been a longtime debate among fans.

Thankfully, Eiichiro Oda has finally addressed the doubt on Yamato's gender identity through his newest Vivre Card set, per Comicbook. Aside from being adamant he is a male for idolizing Oden too much, Kaido also calls him his son.

However, Oda now confirms Yamato identifies as a female. Anyhow, the Vivre Card is yet to go public, but the alleged peek now, reportedly, circulates online.

It is also advised that fans should only take these assumptions with a grain of salt until the cards have been made public. It looks like a lot is about to be seen when "One Piece" Chapter 1024 drops on Sunday, Sept. 5.
