Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's fans are now questioning Prince William and Kate Middleton after boarding a private jet going to Northern Ireland. The Sussexes have faced a number of criticisms repeatedly for traveling by the same means, but it looks the Cambridges are experiencing a different treatment.

Derry Airport announced that Prince William and Kate arrived in the North West for a one-day visit with a photo on Twitter. Royal editor Omid Scobie, then, responded to the tweet, saying it was a special welcome for the royals after their "private jet hit the tarmac."

As expected, the tweet met a lot of critictisms, as some even defended Prince Harry and Meghan. Many questioned the future king and queen consort of the method they chose for transport.

One user said the two seemed to have the right to use private jets, but the Sussexes could not. Netizens also pointed out the fuel crisis happening in the U.K. as of late, per Express.

Some asked if the royals were not affected by this problem, while others said there might be no jet fuel shortage in England. "Are there no commercial flights between London and NI?" another chimed in.

With that said, many seemed to notice that Prince William and Kate were "held to different standards." One said boarding a private jet might only be frowned upon in Prince Harry and Meghan's case.

It has been known that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have been repeatedly criticized for using private jets amid preaching about the environment. In 2019, they reportedly boarded private jest six times, including a flight to Italy for a Google climate change summit.

In two years, The Scottish Sun reported they took 21 private jet rides. So, many branded them "completely hypocritical" for doing this despite their advocacy.

In fact, when they recently graced a gig over the weekend to call for action on climate change, they went aboard a Dassault Falcon 2000 jet to fly back to their multi-million Montecito mansion. The event in question was the star-studded Global Citizen Live concert in New York, called Wokestock," which asked tough new eco laws to half U.S. emissions by 2030.

Here, Prince Harry and Meghan went up the stage to demand the wealthiest nations to pledge £70 billion a year to help developing countries go green. Anyhow, their use of a private jet after the event seemed to contrast that night's cause.
