BLACKPINK's Jisoo and Jung Hae-in's much-awaited new K-drama, "Snowdrop," is about to hit the small screen on Saturday, Dec. 18. With its grand premiere, here's what her fellow BLACKPINK members say about it.

The show's cast and crew held a special press conference to discuss different things about "Snowdrop" aspects and tease some behind-the-scenes stories. Of course, fans and viewers alike, who are all excited for the premiere, show their support to Jung Hae-in and Jisoo, including BLACKPINK's Jennie and Rose.

Jennie and Rose posted Jisoo's photos from the press conference on their respective Instagram stories, AllKpop noted. They show their excitement over her new project and share their wishes for its success.

Rose seemed to be in awe of Jisoo's beauty, saying their "unnie was so pretty." She also hoped that "Snowdrop" would do well. Alternatively, Jennie revealed she was "excited, excited, excited" on the show, calling Jisoo "our Young Ro."

Meanwhile, talking about the press conference, director Jo Hyun-Tak revealed the show was titled "Snowdrop" upon the writer's suggestion, per Soompi. He explained a snowdrop is a "blooming flower that pierces the snow."

It symbolizes the coming spring, about holding on a little longer to enjoy this season. In the story, Jung Hae-in and Jisoo's characters will experience a tragic event that is hard to handle, but there is a message of hope in the title behind the ordeal.

Jo Hyun-tak also addressed the issues that the series distorted historical facts. Though JTBC already discussed the problem, he explained that the writer Yoo Hyun-mi had prepared "Snowdrop" for a long time and it was inspired by the writing of a North Korean defector, who escaped from a concentration camp in 2008.

The writer experienced a lot of ups and downs before she finished the story and even added her own tale during her time at the women's dorms as a student in a university in the 1980s. From these tales, "Snowdrop" was born.

Despite the criticisms, Jo Hyun-tak stressed the series was created with responsibility and a sense of duty and fans could see it when they started to watch the premiere. In addition, the director also revealed he personally wanted to work with Jung Hae-in, so he chose him as one of the cast members.

He and the writer already had the actor in mind when they were only making the synopsis. On the other hand, as soon as he saw Jisoo, he knew that she could perfectly play the role of Young Ro.
