Meghan Markle and Prince Harry had a controversial interview with Oprah Winfrey earlier this year. The couple's bombshell revelations quickly made the headlines, and have since continued to create buzz across media platforms.
With the apparent talks surrounding the engagement, the Duchess of Sussex might have expected to win an award for it, as recent tabloids claimed. As alleged, she is "disappointed" and "hurt" that the material lost to HBO Max's "Friends: The Reunion."
A source told New Idea that the interview with Oprah failed to make an impact at this year's People's Choice Awards. Meghan Markle reportedly thought that returning to Hollywood as a duchess would allow her to "climb over the likes of Jennifer Aniston" in the industry's hierarchy.
But, with the recent win of the "Friends" special, the insider stated that the "Wanderlust" actress's profile remains higher than the "Suits" alum. This, thus, makes her more furious over Aniston's award.
Adding insult to the injury, the "Murder Mystery" star allegedly "repeatedly rebuffs" the Duchess of Sussex's invitations. She is said to have rejected the former working royal's invites to come to dinner in their new Montecito home.
The recent allegations involving Jennifer Aniston and Meghan Markle may have caught the eyes of many individuals. But, the supposed source did not provide any evidence to prove the legitimacy of the claims.
Accordingly, it is unclear whether the story is non-fiction. So, these all remain as speculation.
It is a fact, though, that "Oprah with Meghan and Harry" did not win the People's Choice Awards for the Pop Special of 2021 category. The same goes for "Demi Lovato: Dancing with the Devil", "Justin Bieber: Our World", and "Savage x Fenty Show Vol. 3", to name a few, according to Parade.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, alongside Oprah Winfrey, may have not taken home the award, but the couple seemingly has something to celebrate today. On Tuesday, Marie Claire said that a new study from Oxford Royale crowns Meghan Markle as the "most intelligent member of the British Royal Family."
She topped the material's list after considering the academic backgrounds of each of the British Royals. The considerations appeared to have centered on "quantifiable factors," like the college schools or universities the royals previously attended and the performances they showed in high school.
The former Hollywood actress has a diploma from Northwestern University. In the latest QS World Rankings, it is at the 30th place against 1,300 institutions across the globe.
With the said ranking, it allowed Markle to top the list, making her the most intelligent British Royal in the study's metrics.
