Kate Middleton appears to be America's favorite duchess after coming out on top of a recent poll. She surpassed Meghan Markle by a lot, amassing more than twice of the former working royal's votes.

Express UK reported that the poll recently came from The Sun. The numbers seemingly show the amount of support of the American population to the British Royals.

As stated, the Duchess of Cambridge obtained 68 percent of the votes against the Duchess of Sussex's 31 percent. This reportedly means that, even in the United States, the future Queen Consort is much more popular than the former actress.

In response to the survey, the publication said that Christopher Andersen shared a few good words for Kate Middleton. He asserted that the royal has a "real ability to connect with Americans."

The royal commentator continued that the Duchess of Cambridge has become an "even bigger superstar" in the country despite not being able to set foot in its vicinity in the last few years. The public would recall that she and Prince William last visited the U.S. for a royal tour in 2014.

Andersen, also, stated that the future Queen Consort "embodies everything Americans expect in a princess," who is set to become queen. She has "beauty, grace, regal bearing, and the ability to connect."

In the end, the expert added that the duchess sails above all scandals that make headlines, "whatever" it may be.

Similar polls in the United Kingdom, also, show the same trend. Kate Middleton is a "fan favorite," while Meghan Markle is among the least popular royals.

In the latest YouGov ratings, 65 percent of the respondents have "positive opinions" about the Duchess of Cambridge. But, as for the Duchess of Sussex, she only has a popularity rating of 26 percent.

Nevertheless, Queen Elizabeth II remains on top of the list as she is still the most popular British Royal. She has a rating of 76 percent, with Prince William following the lead at 66 percent.

In 2021, a separate report from Express UK revealed that the Queen, the Duke of Cambridge, and the Duchess of Cambridge are the most popular British Royals. They were joined by the Duke of Edinburgh, despite his passing earlier in April.

As reported, 72 percent of the respondents favor Queen Elizabeth II. Only 11 percent of the sample said that they disliked the monarch.

As for Prince William and Kate Middleton, they each have 15 percent and 10 percent of the respondents disliking them at the time.

Meanwhile, the two least popular British Royals are Meghan Markle and Prince Andrew. 68 percent of the sample had negative views toward the Duke of York, while the Duchess of Sussex had 51 percent.
