Kate Middleton and Prince William need a group of helpers to maintain their home as they are both busy doing their royal duties. However, being part of the Cambridge household is no easy feat and there is a set of strict rules that they have to follow.

As one of the most famous--not to mention significant--personalities in the world, Kate Middleton and Prince William have "incredibly high standards" in choosing their household staff. Of course, the interested candidate has to be trustworthy, but one rule will surely surprise many.

One of the rules they have to adhere to is the prohibition of gossiping. In fact, this has been noted on the previous job advertisements for housekeeping roles at the couple's London home, The Sun stated.

Anyone who wants to work with the family should know how to "maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion." This rule is not surprising at all, knowing the future king and queen consort are very keen to keep their lives private, especially their kids, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis.

In addition, the children's nanny, Maria Borrallo, revealed one certain rule that is uncommon to many. It is not being allowed to say the word "kid."

She told the Mirror Norland nannies are banned from saying "kids" when referring to the children under their care. Instead, they have to use the children's names at all times to show respect to the little ones as individuals.

In addition, they are also not allowed to take naughty steps as it is not part of the Norland nanny experience. Sticker charts are part of their arsenal, though it depends on the child.

Meanwhile, those who want to try their luck to be part of Queen Elizabeth II's household have to pass a secret test to tell the "special cleaners" from the group. Tracey Waterman, the recruitment head, revealed the team would set a hidden challenge to all the interviewees to see how they would react.

They will place a dead fly and bring the candidate into the room. Waterman will lead the interviewee around slowly and let them see the room and what it has inside.

She will bring them near a fireplace and highlight how beautiful it is. This move hints that Waterman hopes the candidate will see the dead fly.

However, aside from spotting the fly, she also wants to see what they will do with it. Waterman considers this a great test as only half of the candidates will notice the fly, while only one will make a move to pick it up and this one will be the special housekeeper.
