Remember when former U.S. President Barack Obama visited the U.K. for his first state visit in May 2011? Queen Elizabeth II, allegedly, showed her straightforward attitude to her alleged favorite world leader back then.

Don't get Her Majesty wrong, though. It was getting late and Queen Elizabeth wanted to rest, so she asked former Chancellor of the Exchequer George Osborne to tell Barack Obama it was time for bed.

The three-day state visit saw the POTUS meeting the newly-married Prince William and Kate Middleton. He and the former First Lady Michelle Obama were also the guests of honor at a state banquet at Buckingham Palace.

But in the book "Queen of Our Times: The Life of Elizabeth II, royal author Robert Hardman revealed the monarch had to interrupt the celebration where the 44th U.S. President seemed to be "enjoying himself too much." She wanted to discreetly end the event because she was tired and wanted to go to sleep, Express noted.

However, Osborne had no idea how he would ask the most powerful men on earth to leave. Fortunately, Queen Elizabeth's private secretary came to his rescue and gently "nudged proceedings to a close."

So, when the official proceedings at the banquet ended, Hardman revealed Barack Obama summoned his two closest aides, including senior speechwriter Ben Rhodes. However, it wasn't the end of the night for them yet.

They had a modest after-party in the Belgian Suite, where Queen Elizabeth had his state visitors stay. Although she wanted to end that night, British Heritage revealed Barack Obama managed to leave a "strong impression" on Her Majesty.

She enjoyed his company so much that she even asked him to keep coming back to the U.K. though he wasn't a president anymore. Royal author Tom Quinn added the two leaders got on so well that he managed to influence her view on the U.S. as a whole.

Since then, Quinn revealed the Queen had a soft spot for the Americans after meeting Barack Obama. She, reportedly, even completely fell in love with him.

She even said to have frequently asked her courtiers to arrange his visit to Britain even if he was no longer a world leader. So, in his more than eight years in the White House, Michelle and Barack Obama visited the U.K. three times. But if Queen Elizabeth had her way, it was widely believed that it could have been more due to their close relationship.
