In a statement, via AllKpop, the company revealed it was writing to officially reveal its talent's return. The 36-year-old star is now recording her songs and eyeing to continue her activities.
In fact, she is about to drop new music in April. The famed trot singer is said to be reflecting on herself after halting all her activities since November 2020.
She is now working on filming her new music video, eager to return on stage. So, what incites her comeback?
IMH continued it was the unchanging support of her fans and feeling sorry to the general public after what happened. After the plagiarism scandal, she found herself not a very good example of a public figure.
So during her time of self-reflection, she now wanted to be a singer who could spread positivity in society. Despite the fears of returning to the public eye, they promised to do their best to be someone who could give hope and start a new beginning.
Meanwhile, knowing Hong Jin Young is one of the most famous trot singers in Korea, Hankyung analyzed her earnings if she resumes her activities. She is supposed to earn as much as 6 billion KRW or $5 million a year by appearing on stage.
Her event appearance fee is said to be at 14 million KRW or $11,664, while her show appearance is at 3 million KRW or $2,499.42. Her music program appearance fee is at 100,000 KRW or $83.31, while her radio and other program appearances' pay are at 500,000 KRW or $416.57.
She is supposed to make 420 events a year, possibly earning her 5.88 billion KRW or $4.9 million. In addition, if she continues to make commercials, concert tours and TV appearances, she can easily make 10 billion KRW or $8.3 million a year.
However, AllKpop noted it remains to be seen if Hong Jin Young can maintain to have this asking price after admitting to plagiarizing her master's thesis at Chosun University and taking a hiatus. So if she continues her activities, her talent fees may experience a little adjustment.
