(G)I-DLE member Yuqi revealed the encouraging message she received from Kim Se Jeong last October on Instagram. It was never too late for the 22-year-old star to show her gratitude to the "Business Proposal" star after learning to read her DMs only now.
After the latter posted a somewhat depressing story in October 2021, Kim Se Jeong sent Yuqi a direct message on Instagram. At the time, Yuqi seemed to be having a hard time while doing promotions in China.
Yuqi wrote there were times when she did not know what she did things for. Sometimes she had no idea what was right and wrong, but she still asked herself to cheer up and said she was doing good.
In response, Kim Se Jeong said she was nosy after seeing her story. Though they did not know each other or even close in person, she knew Yuqi would do well and continuously hold on, per AllKpop.
She even told her time would pass and she would one day look back on what she thought she could not do. She asked her to laugh at the ridiculous situation and learn from it.
She would eventually grow and nod her head through bittersweet things. Though it was strange, she would still learn and ultimately have the strength to overcome all the hard times she had been through.
"By the time you look back on yourself, it's around the time to go back up shining again," Kim Se Jeong added. "Yuqi, even though it is difficult, you will feel better soon. Cheer up. You're always doing well! I am always rooting for you."
In response to her message, Yuqi said she only saw Kim Se Jeong's message now and admitted she was excited to see it. She even called her an angel and she wanted everyone in the world to know she was a darling.
She then said she was touched by what she did and promised to work hard. She also thanked her for giving her strength and vowed always to support her.
Yuqi also held a live broadcast on VLive and shared her thoughts about their exchange. She said she never checked her DMs and she wanted to thank Kim Se Jeong for sending her a message though they did not know each other.
Koreaboo added Yuqi is now enjoying tremendous success after her group's comeback with the latest song, "Tomboy." The track reportedly achieves a perfect all-kill, giving them a huge music chart achievement in the fourth generation. Alternatively, Kim Se Jeong is also having a massive success after "Business Proposal" ended with high ratings.
