It has been nearly three years since fans last saw Saitama on the small screen, making fans wonder if there will still be "One Punch Man" Season 3. Though the franchise's official Twitter page confirmed the series is not yet over, a new season is yet to come out.

So, is there still a future for "One Punch Man" Season 3? If yes, what will happen in the series?

Different theories have been surrounding the anime's third season. It can't be denied that the first season experienced enormous success, though the same thing can't be said for the second installment after some complaints about its animation.

With that said, will a new season manage to reclaim its name? Recent Highlights noted Season 2 had a lot of revelations that might play out in Season 3.

Many expect the latter will feature the war between the Hero Association and the Monster Association. It may also focus on Garou's character development, making his way to being the perfect match against Saitama.

Garous has already beaten a number of formidable heroes. So, the Monster Association invited him to join their group, considering they have one goal-to bring the heroes down.

This results in the growing demon-level threats that overwhelm the heroes. The latter is also decreasing in numbers and the monsters have a new king, who may go against Saitama.

With this turn of events, the heroes may launch a "major sting operation" on the monsters in "One Punch Man" Season 3 and gather all the S-Class heroes. There are strong beliefs Garou will join the monster association after the demons have protected him.

However, it remains to be seen if he will eat the monster cells and recreate himself to turn into a full-fledged demon. So by the looks of it, Saitama will be very busy facing the enemies in the new season.

Meanwhile, The Digital Fix added no confirmation was heard from the series about the status of the third season. In late 2019, it made a tweet promising to "deliver the animation again."

In the same year, the global COVID-19 pandemic began that got worse in 2020, that might have affected the production schedules. It is also good to note that the "central creative forces" are now busy with other work.

The first two seasons' director Shingo Natsume is now busy working on another series. So, fans may still have to wait for him to have some free time to work on "One Punch Man" Season 3. So far, there are no words yet on when it will be officially out.
