People may remember when Prince Harry, Meghan Markle, Prince William and Kate Middleton still worked together as the royal Fab Four. But it has been years since this group parted ways and now the Duchess of Sussex reportedly steals the "soundbite" from the future queen consort during their on-stage appearance for Heads Together.

Meghan Markle joined Kate Middleton, Prince William and Prince Harry on stage in 2018 as the fourth patron of the Royal Foundation. However, the former actress was accused of stealing the spotlight from the Duchess of Cambridge when she talked about female empowerment instead of their then-topic mental health.

Royal commentator Christine Ross said on Us Weekly's "Royall Us," via Express, that the Duke of Cambridge's wife spearheaded the project. It was the brainchild of her experiences and hard work and it was very personal for her, knowing her brother, James, suffered from clinical depression.

However, when the former "Suits" star entered the scene, she managed to change the narrative when she started to talk. "I don't want to say stole in an aggressive sense but stole the soundbite," Ross said.

The headlines then became about Meghan Markle and how he spoke out about female empowerment when it was supposed to be Kate Middleton's mental health project. This scene just showed the power struggle and the complicated dynamic between the four.

Since then, they were never seen together in public again. Royal biographer Tina Brown added that Prince Harry's wife took up most of the air time during the Fab Four's interview.

So, amid all the issues, is there still a chance to mend their relationship? Royal expert and biographer Ingrid Seward believed the four's relationships have gone through a lot to "ever fully recover."

If ever these four will be together, it may take an "awful tragedy" to bring them as a group again. She told the Mirror's royal podcast "Pod Save the Queen," via Marie Claire, in 2020 that it took an effort to try and repair family relationships than to leave it as it was.

With that said, she doubted if they could ever go back to the way they used to be. "I really don't think so," she added.

Ingrid believed their relationship was already broken, but if something happened to Kate Middleton or Meghan Markle, it might bring the two princes together again. But as long as Prince Harry and Prince William's wives and families were there, their relationship might not be mended.
