Princess Eugenie and Princess Beatrice reportedly have a close relationship with their grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II. Despite that, though, Prince Andrew's daughters may not have royal roles in the future because of Prince Charles' alleged plan to have a slimmed-down monarchy and their part in arranging a meeting between Prince Harry, Meghan Markle, Her Majesty and the Prince of Wales himself.

One royal expert claimed Princess Eugenie and Princess Beatrice wanted to have their respective roles in the royal family. However, with Prince Charles around, it may never happen.

Jo Elvin commented on the "sudden PR push" for the two princesses after making headlines as of late. Princess Beatrice recently went to Sweden to launch the first World Dyslexia Assembly in collaboration with The Prince Couple's Foundation.

Alternatively, Princess Eugenie launched her podcast for her charity, The Anti-Slavery Collection, called Floodlight. The 32-year-old royal hosts the show herself, along with her close friend, Julia de Boinville, to discuss how to fight modern-day slavery.

Daily Mail diary editor Richard Eden revealed, via Express, the events the two princesses of York had felt coordinated after happening in the same week. "Behind it seems to be a drive towards a public role, which their parents have always wanted," he said.

However, with the controversy surrounding their father, any royal comeback might be "awkward" for them.

Elvin, alternatively, revealed a story in Private Eye that claimed Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie "had brokered" Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's visit to the U.K, acting as a peacemaker.

In addition, Daily Mail's Editor at Large Richard Kay did not think they would have formal royal roles. With Prince Charles' slimmed-down monarchy plan, adding the York daughters to the mix would only expand it, though they would still be featured once in a while,

Despite the claims, royal author Tom Quinn assured Queen Elizabeth adored the two siblings. She, allegedly, saw herself and her sister, Margaret, in them.

After Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson divorced in 1996, another royal author Angela Levin revealed the monarch felt more maternal toward the two and reportedly saw their hardships. Body language expert Judi James added the similarities between the York princesses and Queen Elizabeth and Margaret made their bonds strong.

Like the young Countess of Snowdown and her sister, Princess Eugenie and Princess Beatrice have been brought up to "form a very close team of two." They often offer each other support and friendship like no other.
