Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, is reportedly a good influence on her husband, Prince Charles, when it comes to family relationships. A royal expert claimed her family first motto has rubbed on the future king and it made the latter closer to his mother, Queen Elizabeth II.

Camilla Parker-Bowles has become a major part of the royal family since she tied the knot with Prince Charles in 2005. After decades together, many have claimed she has helped change the Duke of Cornwall.

In her piece for Vanity Fair, via Express, Katie Nicholl said that her influence even made Her Majesty and the prince closer together. She said the future queen consort's family is the center of her life.

She has an extremely close relationship with her son, Tom, daughter Laura and five grandkids. Despite their separation, she, too, remains to have an amicable relationship with her ex-husband, Andrew Parker Bowles.

She also considers her sister, Annabel, as her best friend. With this attitude, Nicholl believed Prince Charles might have adapted it.

He now speaks to Prince Williams almost every day and becomes much closer to Queen Elizabeth. Nicholl also told Entertainment Tonight, via The List, that the claims about the mother-and-son duo's strained relationship are not true at all.

She stressed the royal family had been "especially close" throughout the coronavirus pandemic and the departure of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle from the U.K. followed by the explosive tell-all interview of the Sussexes with Oprah Winfrey.

Nicholl cleared it is not true that Queen Elizabeth is frustrated with Prince Charles. Over the past year, she saw that the royal family is now very closely aligned and the major members, like the Monarch, her eldest child and Prince William, are working as one unit together.

Though their relationship got a little complicated when Queen Elizabeth learned of Prince Charles' affair with Camilla while still married to Princess Diana, everything is now well. The leader of 14 Commonwealth realms was reportedly upset after hearing the news of their romance and did not want anything to do with "that wicked woman."

But when her anger eventually subsided, Queen Elizabeth softened to Camilla and now vouched for the two. So, amid the claims that she does not approve of her son being the next king to replace her, her sincere wish is reportedly for Prince Charles to be the new King of England in the future.
