A royal expert and biographer believes the recent Platinum Jubilee has "relegated" Prince Harry and Meghan Markle by putting them behind the Duke of Gloucester. Allegedly, the move is part of the drastic royal shake-up.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle returned to the U.K. in June to join the celebrations of Queen Elizabeth II's Platinum Jubilee. However, they seemed to be put on the sideline after being behind the other members of the Firm.

Duncan Larcombe told Express that the four days the Sussexes spent in the U.K. would forever haunt the Duke of Sussex. "They (Meghan and Harry) were relegated to sitting behind the Duke of Gloucester," he said.

Other prominent members of the Firm were at the front row of the Thanksgiving service at St. Paul's Cathedral, while they were seated in the second row. In fact, Larcombe added there were several things that they were excluded from the weekend event, though no one knew if they intentionally excused themselves or not.

They even returned home on a private jet before the celebrations ended. Many noticed Prince Harry and Meghan Markle didn't watch the Trooping the Colour from the Buckingham Palace balcony with Prince William and Kate Middleton.

The Cambridges, alternatively, didn't join the Archewell co-founders inside St. Paul's Cathedral. A source explained to Us Weekly that only the senior members of the royal family were allowed to sit in the front row, while the non-senior members would be in the second row.

The insider added that the palace decided to put them on the opposite side of the cathedral to avoid unwanted attention following the scrutiny they experienced during the 2020 Commonwealth Day Service.

It was the first time Prince Harry and Meghan Markle returned to the U.K. after their last engagements as senior royals in March 2020. They returned as a family of four, with their first born, Archie, and their youngest, Lilibet.

Since then, they have lived in California, but the former military pilot returned to the U.K. alone in April 2021 for his grandfather's funeral, Prince Philip. He again returned in July 2021 for the inauguration of the monument that honored his late mother, Princess Diana.

Since Prince Harry and Meghan Markle stepped down from their senior royal roles, their relationship with Prince William and Kate Middleton has been a hot issue, per Pinkvilla. In an October 2019 interview, Prince Harry revealed that he and his brothers were "on different paths" before he left his senior post, reportedly making their feud grow.
