Park Eun Bin may soon return to the small screens after the success of "Extraordinary Attorney Woo." With the great acting skills that the South Korean showed in the Netflix series, there's a high expectation surrounding her next role.
Sports Chosun broke the news about Park Eun Bin's next project with a working title, "Diva of the Deserted Island." A representative from her agency, Namoo Actors, then addressed the issue and released an official statement.
"This is one of the projects that [Park Eun Bin] is reviewing," the company confirmed, per Soompi.
The new show will follow the story of a girl who found herself in the middle of a deserted island after an accident. She goes missing for 15 years and will be found thereafter.
If Park Eun Bin accepts the project, she will play the role of Mok Ha, AllKpop noted. The girl once dreamed of being a singer, but it might be far from happening after the accident.
Hence, she will try her best to adapt to the new world she's in. But after 15 years of being gone, adjusting to modern society will be a big problem. From there, her new adventure begins.
"Diva of the Deserted Island" will be directed by Oh Choong Hwan, with a script written by Park Hye Ryeon. This will be the first time the two will work alongside each other after the success of their previous works, "While You Were Sleeping" and "Start-Up."
According to reports, Park Eun Bin's possible new show is now getting everyone's attention, not just because of having her in it but also because it will feature Oh Choong Hwan and Park Hye Ryeon's reunion. That said, the new K-drama is expected to be huge.
Meanwhile, the 30-year-old star received critical acclaim earlier this year for her stellar performance as Woo Young Woo in "Extraordinary Attorney Woo." She's also known for her roles in "Do You Like Brahms?" and "Stove League."
So when Gallup Korea held a poll about the actors/actresses who shone brightly in 2022, the former child star topped the list. About 1,700 participants, ages 13 and older, joined the poll, and 13.6 percent of the votes went to Park Eun Bin.
She was the No. 1 actor/actress who shone the brightest in South Korea in 2022. Park Eun Bin was followed by Kim Hye Soo, Nam Goong Min, and Go Doo Shim.
