"Alchemy of Souls Part 2" is doing well in the rating game and even topped the last week's rating. As the show is now a fan-favorite, the onscreen partners Lee Jae Wook and Goo Yoon Jung talk about their incredible chemistry in the series.

Lee Jae Wook and Goo Yoon Jung made a lavish photoshoot for Elle magazine and revealed how they found each other when they first met on the set of "Alchemy of Souls Part 2." So, what do these two say about each other?

Go Yoon Jung admitted, via Soompi, that she already knew that her co-star was a great actor, but she didn't expect his stellar acting in their series as she thought. She was surprised by his maturity, loveliness, and cuteness.

Alternatively, Lee Jae Wook had good words for the actress, especially her being responsible as a new female lead. He even found it effortless to adapt to her character, though it had been three years since they did the series' first part.

Though he seemed sure that Go Yoon Jung found it hard, she still asked him to practice their script together. "I was impressed by her passion," he said.

"Alchemy of Souls Part 2" has been known for its unique drama mixed with different genres that deal with martial arts, fantasy, and romance. So, considering the show has a lot of scenes that are hard to do, what sequences do they find difficult to make?

Go Yoong Jung admitted there are a lot of scenes she and Lee Jae Wook have, and their situations are always similar. So, they often rely on one another.

She's also curious about what he's doing if he's filming other scenes with their fellow cast members. The 24-year-old actor agrees with his co-star, revealing they've already built a bond.

In fact, there are times when he gets jealous, wanting the scenes she makes with others to look prettiest with him and will be the most heart-wrenching sequences in the drama.

Meanwhile, "Alchemy of Souls Part 2" experienced a new all-time high as the battle for the weekend drama ratings heated up. Nielsen Korea revealed that the hit fantasy series' fourth episode scored an average nationwide rating of 8.5 percent, making a new personal record for its second season. The series' second iteration first experience topping its time slot across all cable channels with a nationwide average of 3.8 percent among viewers ages 20 to 49.
