"Boruto" Chapter 76 hinted at a huge incoming battle in "Boruto" Chapter 77 and the manga series per se. Fans may witness a showdown between Kawaki and Boruto, while Code may start his attack.
Chapter 75 first hinted at the upcoming disaster when Momoshiki revealed that Boruto and his own thoughts leaked into each other's consciousness as the side effect of the Otsutsuki using his genetic data to restore his vessel's body. By the looks of it, things will get worse in "Boruto" Chapter 77.
"Boruto" Chapter 76 dropped a lot of clues about the impending battle in the next installment. The side effects went beyond the two's thoughts being linked together as Boruto briefly manifested Momoshiki's dojutsu and saw a glimpse of the future.
The vision saw Konoha village in chaos as Leaf shinobi searched for someone who tried to escape the town. It remained to be seen if it was Momoshiki's vision or just an observer, but it revealed Team 10 approaching someone.
Shikadai used Shadow Binding jutsu and asked if someone he considered a friend could accept that move. Sarada later called out Mitsuki after finding the fugitive.
Mitsuki activated his Sage Mode while Kawaki was in his karma form, looking down at someone. Boruto remembered the Otsutsuki prophecy and warned him that his blue eyes would take everything from him.
However, that vision seemed to happen presently as they all looked the same. Will this chaos begin in "Boruto" Chapter 77?
There are theories that Ada may die in the next chapter after a tweet predicted that one character always dies when the chapter's number is repeated. For starters, AO was killed in Chapter 22, Kurama in Chapter 55, and Boruto in Chapter 66.
This claim is further supported by the intense turn of events in Chapters 75 and 76, and to add more fuel to the fire, Shikamaru told Sumire and Sarada that if Ada turned into their enemy, the kunoichi might end her life. But some think it's too early for Ada to die, so they believe it's either Sasuke, Mitsuki, or Sumire who will meet their demise.
Meanwhile, Kawaki and Boruto avoided provoking Daemon or Ada in "Boruto" Chapter 76 after Deamon showed that he could deflect anything they would do back at them. The two invited Sarada and Sumire over and held an extremely tense conversation with Ada.
At the time, they were fortunately unaffected by her charm. Chapter 76 ended with Kawaki asking Momoshiki to show himself to Boruto.
