King Charles III's coronation is drawing near, and he's reportedly feeling the pressure of having his son, Prince Harry, and daughter-in-law, Meghan Markle, invited to the event. A royal expert claims sending the invitations is happening soon, so the monarch has to make a decision if he will invite them or not.

The talks about Prince Harry and Meghan's possible attendance at King Charles' crowning have been rampant as of late. With all the revelations and allegations that the Sussexes made in their Netflix docuseries, "Harry & Meghan," and the Duke of Sussex's memoir, "Spare," will they get an invite?

The Daily Express royal correspondent Richard Palmer told Pandora Forsyth on the Daily Express Royal Roundup that he would be surprised if the controversial royal couple wouldn't receive an invite. However, he also knew the decision was "down to the government."

Hence, it's up to U.K. Prime Minister Rishi Sunak and his fellow ministers to explain who has been invited and not and why. Palmer stated that the Conservative Party leader had to "bite the bullet sooner or later" to send out the invitations.

This news comes on the heels of King Charles' reply when asked if he could bring Prince Harry back to the U.K. His Majesty visited students at the University of East London's Stratford campus in east London for their 125th anniversary when a man asked him if he could bring his youngest son back to the country, to which he replied, "It would be nice."

However, a source confirmed to Harper's Bazaar that Prince Harry and Meghan are yet to receive an invitation to attend their father's coronation. It remains to be seen if they will be invited to the event after a Buckingham Palace insider revealed that "no decision" has been made yet about their attendance.

This news doesn't come as a surprise after Prince Harry dropped bombshell allegations in his memoir, exposing the "ins and outs of the royal family." The insider also told the publication that Prince William, in particular, was left devastated by his brother's claims in the book.

But Prince Harry seemingly remains hopeful of getting his family back during the promotional interviews for "Spare." In discussion with ITV's Tom Bradby, he talked about the possibility of reuniting with the royal family at King Charles' coronation on May 6.

Meghan's husband said a lot could happen "now and then," but he kept his doors open for any possibilities, adding, "the ball is in their court." Prince Harry knew a lot needed to be discussed and hoped they were "willing to sit down and talk about it."
