King Charles III's coronation is near, and the plans for the event are now gradually emerging. Aside from Prince William, his firstborn, Prince George, will reportedly play a major role during the crowning, while Camilla, Queen Consort, may use a much more significant title.

King Charles has reportedly lined up his first grandson for a "precedent-breaking role" in his coronation on May 6 at Westminster Abbey. The second in line to the throne will have a prominent official role along with Camilla, Queen Consort's grandchildren, uniting their families as a bold statement on the Firm's future.

The Sunday Times claimed the Wales kid, nine, might join his step-grandmother's five grandkids at the special event. Allegedly, the officials are now discussing the young future king's important role.

The monarch and his wife are set to meet the Prince and Princess of Wales to talk about what this significant role will entail. And his participation will mean that he has to stand alongside the queen's grandchildren.

Camilla's son, Tom Parker Bowles, has two kids, Lola, 15, and Freddy, 13. Alternatively, her daughter, Laura Lopes, has three children, Eliza, 15, and the twins Louis and Gus, 13.

The Bowles and Lopes kids, who call their grandmother "GaGa," may hold a ceremonial canopy over their grandmother's head while being anointed with oil. By the looks of it, they will play the role that the duchesses traditionally take.

However, a source told the publication that Camilla doesn't want the duchesses to do it and instead wants her grandkids to take this role. Express noted that this arrangement fits the coronation's theme this year.

In Buckingham Palace's announcement on January 21, the officials said the Archbishop of Canterbury would conduct the proceedings, and the theme would be to "look forward to the future." It will also be "rooted in longstanding traditions and pageantry."

Meanwhile, Daily Mail revealed Camilla would be known through her new description, appearing to go against the late Queen Elizabeth II's wishes to call her Queen Consort. Instead, she would be reportedly known as Queen Camilla.

A different source told the outlet that there's a view in the palace that "Queen Consort" is quite awkward, and it may be simpler to call her the queen instead when the time is right. The insider added that this move might have been foreshadowed during last week's charity project called Duchess of Cornwall's Reading Room, renamed Queen's Reading Room.

Queen Elizabeth bestowed Camilla with the title Queen Consort in a letter released in February 2022. She wrote that when the fullness of time came, his son Charles would become King, and Camilla would be known as Queen Consort.
