Kate Middleton wowed everyone at the recent 2023 BAFTAs with her stunning look, oozing with self-confidence. But if one moment became a much-talked-about, it was her rare PDA moment with Prince William, and body language experts revealed what she said to her husband before tapping his behind.
Prince William and Kate have been married for 12 years, but they have proven time and over again that they're still very much in love with each other. So, fans quickly went into a frenzy when they showed their rare PDA moment.
The royal couple was walking on the red carpet when the Princess of Wales was seen patting the heir to the throne's bottom while exchanging a few words beforehand. So, what where were they talking about that led to that sweet gesture?
Lip reader Sophia Martell told Mail Online, via Express, that the Duchess of Cornwall recreated something she saw from the crowd while walking on the red carpet. As she appeared to look over her shoulder, she asked the Prince of Wales if he also witnessed what she saw.
"Did he?" Prince William asked his wife, leaning towards her. Kate then reenacted what she saw and tapped him on the bottom, saying, "that was so funny," while giggling.
In addition, body language expert Andy Coley told OK! that the pair still had "affection for one another." It was also evident that they had a great time at the 2023 BAFTAs, showing a "genuine connection."
Meanwhile, the future queen consort stunned everyone with her stunning appearance at the Sunday event. She re-wore the classic white asymmetrical Alexander McQueen gown with little alterations, paired with a pair of black opera gloves designed by Cornelia James and gold drop earrings from Zara.
Another body language expert Darren Stanton told PureWow, via Yahoo!, that Kate had carried herself "completely different" at the event compared to their first red carpet appearance at the BAFTAs in 2017. At the time, he said the mother of three wasn't as confident with herself as she was today, seemingly more nervous, that eventually translated into her outfit.
But today, she's no longer afraid to wear something bolder, carrying herself completely differently. She now moves with more elegance, integrity, and truthfulness, and her body language completely blends with the "confident person she has become."
Stanton added that Kate has "adopted a far greater level of self-assurance." Though he often walked alone without Prince William at the recent BAFTAs, she was confident and at ease.
She has now grown and developed into her own person and a major part of the royal family. Hence, Kate is now worlds away from her previous appearance.
