Thomas Markle, Meghan Markle's father, made an emotional appeal on American television, urging his daughter to mend their strained relationship. Thomas, along with Meghan's siblings Samantha and Thomas Jr., appeared on Channel 7 News to share "treasured memories, home truths, and secret tapes" of the Duchess of Sussex before King Charles' Coronation.

In a preview of the upcoming interview, Samantha claims that without their father, Meghan "would still be a waitress." Thomas Jr. adds, "We're not going to go away," and teases a forthcoming bombshell, saying, "This is going to change everything."

Thomas, on the other hand, adopts a different tone from his children, making a "deathbed plea" to "the daughter he lost." He emotionally asks, "How can I fix this?" Thomas, who suffered a stroke last year, admitted he was "lucky to be alive." A source told The Mirror at the time that Meghan, despite being estranged from her family, was worried about her father. They revealed, "She wants to know if there is any way to contact her father privately, without other family knowing about it or having to get involved."

This plea comes as Meghan confirmed she would not attend King Charles' Coronation with Prince Harry later this month. She will remain at their California home with their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lillibet.

Meghan recently made her first public appearance since announcing she would not attend the prestigious event. She introduced her close friend Misan Harriman in a pre-recorded message for his Ted Talk, acknowledging the "many meaningful milestones" he captured for her family. Meghan said, "Our next speaker has an unmatched eye for a good photograph. I've experienced his talent firsthand as he's captured many meaningful milestones for me and my family, and I know there are many others who share in this experience."

Viewers were surprised by Meghan's new, radiant appearance, which The Telegraph called her "Montecito makeover." Zoe Trigwell, an award-winning makeup artist and owner of Trigwell Cosmetics, commented that Meghan "upped her glam" while stepping away from her royal duties. Trigwell observed, "It feels overall that she has started to really move into her own look with dewy skin and a more natural/copper eye base. Alongside this, she has paired her new look with a down-do hairstyle over her usual low bun."
