Prince Harry's lease on Frogmore Cottage is set to expire next month, sparking questions about where the Duke and Duchess of Sussex will stay during future UK visits, a royal insider has claimed.

The topic surfaced during a recent episode of "Palace Confidential," where Rebecca English, royal editor for Daily Mail, and Richard Eden, editor of Daily Mail Diary, joined host Jo Elvin in discussing the royal couple's current standing with the British royal family and their impending Frogmore Cottage lease expiration.

English noted, "What's fascinating, Richard, is where they will choose to stay. From a piece I worked on earlier this week, I gathered that the Frogmore lease is still active, but not for much longer - it expires next month." She added, "That explains why Harry used Frogmore as a base during his recent UK visit. Beyond that, he'll no longer have a designated place in the UK."

Elvin chimed in, suggesting Buckingham Palace, with its plethora of rooms, as a potential option, though English mentioned ongoing construction work at the location.

"The King and Queen aren't currently staying there. So where will Harry go? A hotel? A friend's place? It underscores his current somewhat nomadic status within the UK," she stated, adding, "To be frank, people I speak to can't envision Meghan returning here, although Harry will likely need to for practical reasons."

Eden offered his perspective, stating, "It's essentially an exile for Harry and Meghan."

The Sussexes' tenancy at Frogmore Cottage became a focal point earlier this year when reports emerged that King Charles had asked them to vacate the property. Tom Bower, a British journalist and investigative reporter, attributed this request to the couple's actions.

Bower spoke to Page Six, stating, "Harry and Meghan incited him [King Charles] with Harry's scandalous book and his television interviews," referring to Harry's memoir, "Spare," and appearances on "60 Minutes" and "The Late Show with Stephen Colbert."

Bower further commented, "What was Harry anticipating? He wanted the royal family to grovel for forgiveness, but instead, he's drifted off into the wilderness of his own perceived victimhood."

During the "Palace Confidential" episode, Eden asserted that for a reconciliation to occur, the Sussexes must first apologize. Elvin countered, pointing out that Prince Harry and Meghan also sought an apology from the royal family.

With Prince Harry expected to return to the UK for upcoming legal matters, Eden suggested there will be "ample opportunity" for the family to address these issues.
