In the midst of swirling controversy, Hunter Biden, the son of President Biden, was seen enjoying a luxurious lunch at the Malibu hotspot, Nobu. This sighting occurred on the same day that a shocking FBI informant file was revealed, alleging a $10 million bribery against him and his father.
Hunter Biden appeared nonchalant as he left the upscale beachside restaurant, co-owned by actor Robert De Niro. The establishment is known for its extravagant menu, with Japanese A5 Wagyu selling for $38 an ounce, king crab tempura for $58, and a lobster shiitake salad costing $72. Biden was seen in a casual attire of a navy button-down shirt and dark jeans, with a camouflage baseball cap and aviator sunglasses.
The FBI informant file, released by Sen. Chuck Grassley, suggests that President Biden and Hunter had "coerced" a Ukrainian oligarch, Mykola Zlochevsky, into paying them $10 million. Zlochevsky, the owner of natural gas company Burisma Holdings, allegedly told the informant in 2016 that "it cost 5 [million] to pay one Biden, and 5 [million] to another Biden."
The document further alleges that both Bidens had advised Zlochevsky that it would be beneficial for him to retain Hunter on Burisma's board as the company sought to conduct business in the U.S. Zlochevsky purportedly kept Hunter on the board believing that his father could provide protection, despite considering Hunter as "stupid."
Zlochevsky also claimed to have 17 recordings of conversations with the Bidens, two of which involved President Biden, along with "many text messages" and two documents that were understood to be financial records of "payment(s) to the Bidens."
In a surprising turn of events, an IRS special agent disclosed that federal prosecutors investigating Hunter's alleged tax fraud case had unanimously agreed to drop the recommended felony and misdemeanor tax charges against him. This decision, however, is a violation of Justice Department policy. Last month, Hunter agreed to plead guilty to two misdemeanor charges of failing to pay at least $100,000 in federal income taxes between 2017 and 2018.
As the controversy continues to unfold, Hunter Biden's casual lunch at Malibu's Nobu serves as a stark contrast to the serious allegations being levied against him and his father.
