The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, recently took a break from their royal duties and embarked on a romantic holiday to the Canouan Island in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines. The couple, who have been in the spotlight for various reasons, seemed to relish their time away, appearing relaxed and very much in love.

The picturesque Canouan Island, known for its upscale resorts and sandy beaches, played host to the royal couple. They were spotted walking hand in hand, reminiscent of any young couple deeply in love. An onlooker managed to capture a candid moment of the couple as they left a gourmet food store inside the Sandy Lane Yacht Club and Marina in Glossy Bay. The Duke and Duchess were without their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, during this outing.

The couple's attire was casual, reflecting the laid-back vibe of their vacation. Prince Harry was seen in navy shorts and a white T-shirt, paired with flip-flops. Meghan, on the other hand, looked effortlessly chic in an ivory maxi dress, complemented by a ribboned Panama hat. A source shared a light-hearted moment when Prince Harry accidentally bumped into a barrel outside the shop. The couple shared a giggle, and Meghan affectionately reached for his hand. The source emphasized that the couple looked "very happy to be having a holiday together."

Their shopping destination, Faye, is an upmarket grocery store known for its exclusive selection of fresh seasonal organic products imported from France. This includes a range of items from vegetables to cheeses, sweets, seafood, and exclusive meat cuts.

After their shopping spree, the couple took a leisurely stroll along a promenade adorned with the vibrant bougainvillea. Their day concluded as they boarded a luxury superyacht that sailed them to Canouan's north shore.

Canouan Island, though small with a width of just three miles, is a haven for the elite. It boasts of several upscale resorts such as the Canouan Estate Resort and Villas, the Mandarin Oriental, and the Soho Beach House Canouan. The island has earned a reputation as a retreat for billionaires. Notable personalities like George Clooney, Robert Downey Jr., and Leonardo DiCaprio have also been charmed by the island's allure. It's speculated that the Sussexes' stay on the island was facilitated through Meghan's long-standing friendship with Markus Anderson, the Chief Membership Officer of Soho House.

This Caribbean getaway comes on the heels of the couple's visit to New York. They were in the Big Apple on October 10 to attend the second annual World Mental Health Day Festival. The event marked their first-ever in-person "The Archewell Foundation Parents' Summit: Mental Wellness in a Digital Age." The summit highlighted the stories of parents who have lost children due to the perils of social media. The Duke and Duchess have been working closely with these parents over the past year, aiming to bring attention to the pressing issue.
