True to their BLACKPINK fame. Members Jennie and Lisa of BLACKPINK, who are elevating the status of K-pop in the global music scene, have reportedly purchased luxury villas in 2023, paying in full with cash and without any loans.
On the afternoon of the 14th, Biz Korea revealed that Jennie has set up a new home in Hannam-dong, Yongsan-gu, Seoul.
The publication reported that Jennie completed a cash purchase of 5 billion won for the Hannam Terrace, a luxury villa in Hannam-dong UN Village, in February 2021. Jennie completed her move and registration soon after in July. The villa spans an area of 74 pyeong (244.6 square meters) with a supply area of 87 pyeong (287.5 square meters) and includes five bedrooms and three bathrooms.
Hannam Terrace is known to have been inhabited by actor Lee Jong-suk before he moved to Nine One Hannam and still owns a villa there. Additionally, Jennie is reported to have rented another luxury villa, The House, located near Hannam Terrace.
Lisa, in February, moved to Seongbuk-dong, Seoul, known as one of Korea's most traditional and affluent neighborhoods. According to property registration records obtained by Money Today, Lisa purchased a house in Seongbuk-dong for 7.5 billion won under her name on January 30th. The house, a two-story building with a basement, was constructed in April 2016. Lisa completed the contract in July last year and finished the property transfer registration six months later.
Notably, the land on which Lisa's house is built was previously acquired by Jang Seon-yoon, executive director of Lotte New York Palace, and Yang Seong-wook, executive director of Audi Korea, through a public auction for 2.051 billion won in 2014. As per the property registration records, there are no encumbrances on the property, indicating Lisa paid in full with cash, and the full payment has been made.
Jennie and Lisa, members of the girl group BLACKPINK, are currently in contract renewal negotiations with their agency, YG Entertainment.
