Samsung's efforts to keep the wraps on its much-anticipated Galaxy S24 series have hit a snag, as real-life images of the Galaxy S24 Ultra have emerged online, causing a stir among tech enthusiasts. The leaked images surfaced just days before Samsung's official Unpacked event, scheduled for January 17, where the company is expected to unveil the Galaxy S24 series.

The leak, initially shared on X (formerly known as Twitter) by @GeeksReport, reveals two images of the Galaxy S24 Ultra. Although the original post was deleted, the images have been preserved on Slashleaks and further circulated by other users like @android_fhd. The Galaxy S24 Ultra, according to these images, will feature a subtly curved display, moving away from the flat screen of previous models.

The design of the Galaxy S24 Ultra, as seen in the leaked photos, appears to retain similarities with its predecessor, the Galaxy S23 Ultra, particularly in terms of the rear camera setup and the general layout of buttons.

However, there are noticeable changes, such as thicker bezels around the screen. Notably, the images do not show an S Pen, despite Samsung's tradition of including the stylus with its Ultra models. Rumors suggest that the new S Pen might be slimmer than previous iterations.

The Galaxy S24 Ultra is expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, which is central to supporting the Gauss AI, a feature Samsung has reportedly developed for enhanced performance on its devices. This AI is speculated to compensate for the phone's reported downgrading of camera capabilities, shifting from 10x to 5x optical zoom.

The leaked images also reveal a grey color option for the Galaxy S24 Ultra, adding to the anticipation for the official announcement of the phone's color range. Display industry expert Ross Young has revealed additional color options for the Galaxy S24 and S24 Plus models, including Amber Yellow, Cobalt Violet, Jade Green, Marble Gray, Onyx Black, Sandstone Orange, and Sapphire Blue. It's expected that grey, black, violet, and yellow will be standard colors, while green, orange, and blue might be special edition hues exclusive to Samsung's online store.

As the launch date nears, the tech community eagerly awaits confirmation of these leaks and further details about the new Galaxy S24 series. Samsung's Unpacked event is set to clarify these speculations and introduce the latest advancements in the company's flagship smartphone lineup.
