Speculations about Vice President Kamala Harris taking over the presidency as “terminally ill” Joe Biden continues his present health battles have been making rounds online. There are even claims that the “likely Democratic presidential nominee” will soon be proclaimed as the 47th President of the United States.
Investigative journalist Laura Loomer claimed, in an X post, that President Biden is “dying” and that he has been “quietly” delegating his authority as the highest-ranking government official to the secretary of the treasury and the secretary of state. She furthered that, with the POTUS’ declining health, Harris will soon take over Biden’s present position.
“In an act that is further evidence that Joe Biden @JoeBiden is dying and @KamalaHarris
will be President soon, today while everyone was distracted by the @GOPoversight hearing with @SecretService Director Kim Cheatle, and news of Joe Biden dropping out, today Biden started quietly delegating his authority as President of the United States to the Secretary of the Treasury and Secretary of State. Biden is dying, and he’s dying fast. Get ready for President Kamala Harris!” Loomer said in her post.
In an earlier tweet, the veteran journalist also suggested that “final preparations” are being made for the “dying” President Biden. Loomer said the POTUS was supposedly scheduled to leave Delaware on Tuesday but things had changed due to his deteriorating health.
“Due to his accelerated decline, Joe Biden has cancelled nine trips that were scheduled for the next two weeks. Biden is expected to leave his beach home in Rehoboth, Delaware on Tuesday afternoon and arrive back at the White House at 2:30 pm, although that could be changed to Wednesday, July 24th. It all depends on how much he continues to decline,” Loomer stated.
“Biden has been dying, and he is dying rather quickly. This is why Kamala flew to Delaware today and why Biden’s White House Chief of Staff Jeff Zients called for an emergency meeting and call with all White House staff today. The medical emergency Joe Biden had on July 5th, 2024 on Air Force One that I exclusively reported almost killed him. His time left is limited,” she added.
“Biden’s staffers and his family are holding on for dear life right now. Kamala Harris @KamalaHarris will be made President very soon,” Loomer concluded.

Meanwhile, Harris will be traveling to the crucial swing state of Wisconsin on Tuesday, embarking on her first campaign tour since becoming the presumed Democratic presidential contender. She is slated to deliver a speech in Milwaukee around the middle of the day.
The campaign has reported receiving over $100 million in donations from Sunday afternoon, following President Biden's announcement of his withdrawal from the race.
On Monday, the party rallied around Harris as their preferred candidate for the nomination, following a series of dramatic events. This included Biden's surprising revelation that he was dropping out of the race and subsequently endorsing Harris.
CBS News has calculated that Harris has secured the support of the majority of Democratic delegates. If the current number remains unchanged, she will be designated as the Democratic nominee for president following the anticipated virtual roll-call vote in early August.
Harris delivered her inaugural public address following the announcement at the White House on Monday during a ceremony celebrating collegiate athletes. She expressed profound gratitude to Biden for his exceptional contribution to his nation and described his legacy as unparalleled in contemporary history.
Harris attended the Wilmington campaign office on Monday to motivate the staff. Future Forward PAC, a Democratic political action group, revealed that it has amassed an impressive $150 million in funds. This achievement is particularly noteworthy considering the recent decline in Democrats' fundraising efforts following Biden's unfavorable debate performance versus Donald Trump last month.
Nancy Pelosi, the former House Speaker who still holds significant influence among Democrats in Washington, officially endorsed Harris on Monday. This endorsement is an important milestone for Harris, but other prominent Democratic leaders such as Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer and current Speaker Hakeem Jeffries have not yet given their endorsement.
Harris, a 59-year-old ex-senator and former state attorney general of California, garnered backing from several prominent contenders for the candidacy, such as Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer, California Governor Gavin Newsom, and Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear.
While Biden has given his official support to her, he does not have the authority to choose a replacement in the competition. The delegates attending the Democratic National Convention will cast their votes to determine the Democratic Party's presidential nominee. The Democrats are anticipated to conduct the roll-call vote to officially confirm the nomination in early August, many weeks prior to the commencement of the convention scheduled to take place in Chicago on August 19.
The Republican candidate, former President Donald Trump, has utilized social media platforms to express his views on Biden's withdrawal from the race, and he has not expressed a definitive stance on participating in any further debates with the eventual nominee.
