At the Copa América final match between Argentina and Colombia, which took place on July 14 in Miami, Camila Cabello and Shawn Mendes were seen together, which has fueled suspicions that the couple, who have been on and off at times, are back together.
Not at all, according to a source close to Camila and Shawn, who spoke exclusively to Life & Style Magazine. “They love each other — they always will. But they are not back together,’ the anonymous insider told the entertainment news outlet.
According to reports, Camila, who is 27 years old, has accompanied her father to the game as her date, and the presence of Shawn, who is 25 years old, is merely a coincidence. On the other hand, things might shift.
“They wouldn’t be the first couple to get back together for the umpteenth time,” the informant added.
However, Camila seemed to be content with her new partner. On Monday, the singer-songwriter known for her hit song "Bam Bam" was captured on camera while walking around Los Angeles while holding hands with Austin Kevitch, the CEO and co-founder of the dating app known as Lox Club.
Camilla was photographed wearing a blue dress that was embellished with white flowers, a short ponytail, hoop earrings, black sandals, and a beige cross-body purse. She was also seen holding a bottle of water in one hand by her side.
Austin, who is 31 years old and an entrepreneur, was wearing a white t-shirt, green shorts, white and red socks, and white sneakers. Her other hand was linked with Austin’s.
Entertainment Tonight revealed in June that Camilla was dating Austin for the first time. The publication reported that the two shared friends and Austin had requested that these people put him in contact with the “Cinderella” actress.
Austin established Lox Club in the year 2020, and the app has been referred to as the "Jewish Raya" due to its membership-only approach. However, non-Jewish hopeful romantics are also able to join the platform without being required to be Jewish.
"I was being a little tongue-in-cheek with [the website], making fun of the pretentious social clubs. To my surprise, hundreds of people started applying for it and sharing it all over Instagram. And even then, I was like, 'wow, I could not see myself opening a dating app,' because I have always been so anti–dating app. In hindsight, maybe that's why it's working,” Austin told Vogue in December 2020.
Camilla's most recent relationship with Shawn began in July 2019, following a period of friendship that lasted for many years. In April, the two of them made the announcement of their breakup on Instagram in a joint statement.
"Hey guys, we've decided to end our romantic relationship but our love for one another as humans is stronger than ever ️ We started our relationship as best friends and will continue to be best friends. We so appreciate your support from the beginning and moving forward ️️️ Camila and Shawn," the statement read.
Prior to her romance with Shawn, Camilla dated marriage counselor Matthew Hussey from 2018 to 2019, and she dated fellow singer Austin Mahone in 2014.
