Princess Kate, Princess of Wales, is not the first commoner to marry an heir to the British throne; nonetheless, it is possible that she is the only person who has been subjected to "casual cruelty" from the friends of a future king.
During the time leading up to their elopement, some in Prince William's inner circle would mumble "Doors to Manual," which was a joke about Carole Middleton's previous employment as a flight attendant. This information was provided by Katie Nicholl, an author who specializes in royal affairs, to Hindustan Times. In spite of their terrible treatment, the woman who would soon become the Duchess of Cambridge was not deterred.
"To her full credit, Kate never rose to it — the snootiness of the upper classes leveled at what they called the en-masse Middletons," Katie added.
"It was never water off a duck's back, but she has extraordinary strength of character and resilience. I've never once seen or heard of her losing her temper,” A second insider who is familiar with the manner in which the future princess was treated before her promotion to the royal family claimed.
During this time period, the Princess of Wales was subjected to an exceptional level of strong media interest in her life. As a result, several outlets in the British press referred to her as "waity Katie," which implied that she was only enduring the intrusions in order to eventually become a princess.
Despite the fact that Carole and Michael Middleton owned a highly successful party organization that made their family billions, money and prestige were of no consequence when it came to a commoner dating the future king.
When Princess Kate and Prince William first began dating in the early 2000s, there was a strong strain of deference and snobbery that prevailed among the upper strata of British society. This strain of deference and snobbery is likely not as well-known now as it was back then, as per OK! Magazine.
Lady Diana Spencer was a titled aristocrat because she came from one of England's most illustrious families, despite the fact that she was technically a commoner at the time that she was dating Prince Charles, who was then the Prince of Wales.
In a similar vein, Queen Camilla's mother, Rosalind Cubitt, was the daughter of the third Baron Ashcombe, which means that Her Majesty is the granddaughter of a baron. This phenomenon is partially true for Queen Camilla.
This meant that Princess Kate would be the first person in the history of the monarchy to marry a future king who was a member of the general population who had been tried and tested. However, it is possible that initial biases have been dispelled as a result of the princess's unwavering dedication to her family and the royal duties she is responsible for.
In spite of the fact that the future queen may have "suffered in silence" during the taunting, as a former royal insider observed, she was never committed to allowing anyone to "walk all over her."
There are some people who believe that the "occasional" disputes that she and Prince William have are totally normal. "It’s well known that William can be hot-tempered and certainly quite stubborn. Of course, they have rows, which apparently can be quite fiery, but they are quickly over and peace is restored," royal commentator Jennie Bond told a publication.
On the other hand, it is possible that the Prince of Wales has inherited his fiery temper from the likes of King George V, King George VI, Prince Philip, and even his own father's "grumpiness."
