Jenna Dewan, who was formerly married to Channing Tatum, has accused the actor of blocking discovery during their contentious divorce and of refusing to disclose information regarding earnings derived from the Magic Mike company, a new report claimed

The court filings that were obtained by In Touch Weekly indicate that Jenna, who is 43 years old, stated that she requested Channing, who is 44 years old, to hand over documents that represent his Magic Mike legal and economic activities that occurred during the marriage.

In 2018, Channing and Jenna went their separate ways. They were able to reach a consensus regarding the custody of their daughter, Everly, but they have been unable to reach a definitive agreement regarding the distribution of their communal property despite their efforts, ELLE reported.

When it comes to Channing's multiple Magic Mike businesses, Jenna believes that she should be granted a fifty percent investment in each of those businesses. The actor acknowledges that Jenna is deserving of a cut, but he does not believe that she gets fifty percent. In the aftermath of the split, he stated that he invested both time and money in the company; hence, the distribution of the earnings ought to take this into consideration.

According to Jenna, as part of the divorce proceedings, she required that Channing hand over a large amount of information regarding the numerous businesses in order to assist her in getting ready for the trial. Specifically, she mentioned that he had just hired a new law firm to assist him with the divorce process. This is the same law firm that assisted him in preparing the documents that she is asking.

Using the defense of attorney-client confidentiality, she stated that Channing had refused to produce the document. “Not only has Channing refused to produce these material documents at his deposition, he recently retained the same firm that prepared many of the documents during the marriage, namely Glaser Weil, and he is now asserting attorney-client privilege with respect to those marital documents prepared by the firm,” her lawyer penned.

“Indeed, Channing recently associated into this action the law firm Glaser Weil, which is the very same law firm that, during the parties’ marriage, negotiated and participated in the very same Magic Mike community property business transactions that are currently at issue in this case,” the attorney added.

“Furthermore, now that Channing has associated in Glaser Weil, a law firm that worked on behalf of the community property Magic Mike business interests during the marriage as well as other business endeavors of the parties such as Free Association, he is disingenuously asserting attorney-client privilege as a basis for refusing to produce the material documents related to the Magic Mike business transactions that were spearheaded by him, his professionals/associates, and Glaser Weil, during the parties’ marriage,” her lawyer argued.

“In light of Channing’s objection to producing the foregoing documents at the taking of his deposition, it appears that the ‘Association of Counsel’ of Glaser Weil is calculated to obstruct discovery and suppress the release of relevant evidence at the taking of Channing’s deposition,” the motion read.

“The Magic Mike transactions that occurred during the marriage are material to the case at the bar, and Channing cannot use privilege as a sword to prevent Jenna from obtaining relevant evidence at the taking of his deposition,” Jenna’s lawyer said.

It was alleged that Channing was dragging his time on discovery, but Channing vehemently resisted the request to dismiss his attorneys and refuted the allegations. The matter has not yet been decided upon by a judge.
