A fresh revelation claimed that Cher has redoubled her efforts to obtain control over the activities of her troublesome son Elijah Blue Allman, who is 48 years old.

This news came just a few days after Elijah Blue Allman was seen staying at the Chateau Marmont hotel in Los Angeles a few days ago. Cher's intention to replace Elijah's wife, Marieangela King, as his temporary conservator has been the subject of a legal dispute between the two parties.

“Cher’s estranged from Elijah right now, but she loves him dearly and would do anything to help him stay sober and healthy. It’s a mother’s worst nightmare,” an unnamed source told Star Magazine.

A year ago, Elijah was discovered unconscious in front of Chateau Marmont. He had been struggling with substance abuse issues for years, and his body was discovered there. In the year 2022, his wife made the accusation that Cher had "kidnapped" him from a hotel room in New York City and then coerced him into entering a rehabilitation center in Mexico.

As a result of him tapping Marieangela to free him from the confined facility, Cher's team has stated that the 37-year-old has been a "destructive presence" in Elijah's life, additionally, Elijah has questioned Cher's intention to manage the annual allowance of $120,000 that was left to him by his late father, Greg Allman, who passed away in 2017.

“He gets very upset at this narrative that Cher and her lawyers have argued. He feels violated and angry that he’s been portrayed as this out-of-control trainwreck,” the anonymous insider stated.

On September 13, Cher, who is 78 years old, and her son will return to court after attempting to resolve their differences through mediation.

“She swears all she’s doing is trying to save his life. “She feels certain he’s in serious trouble right now. She’s been bailing him out and paying his bills for decades, and she can’t just stand by and watch as he self-destructs,” the undisclosed informant shared.

Most, if not all, fans are aware that Cher welcomed their son Elijah Blue with her then-husband Gregg Allman in 1976. Cher and her youngest son, Elijah Blue Allman, have been open about their complex relationship over the years.

“He’s a really smart, really talented, really strange person. He marches to his own drummer more than any person I’ve ever met,” Cher affectionately told Entertainment Weekly in 1999 of Elijah.

In 1976, Cher and her husband, Gregg Allman of The Allman Brothers Band, became parents to a son named Elijah. As Elijah was growing up, he was aware of his mother's celebrity, and as part of his childhood, he traveled the world with her while she was on tour.

“I did the best I could do, and yet it was definitely lacking,” she told Vanity Fair in 2010 of parenting in the limelight.

Cher has admitted that she has not ceased worrying about her son, Elijah, despite the fact that he is now an adult.

“I’m a mother. This is my job — one way or another, to try to help my children. You do anything for your children. Whenever you can help them, you just do it because that’s what being a mother is. But it’s joy, even with heartache — mostly, when you think of your children, you just smile and you love them, and you try to be there for them,” Cher told PEOPLE Magazine in 2023.

Cher submitted a petition for a temporary conservatorship over her son's estate in December 2023. The reason for this petition was that Elijah was allegedly abusing substances, and his mental health was not improving.

According to documents that were submitted to the Los Angeles Superior Court and acquired by PEOPLE Magazine, Cher made a request to be Elijah's sole conservator. She stated that Elijah was "substantially unable to manage his financial resources."

Shortly after that, Elijah lodged a protest, and in May of 2024, the mother and son were able to reach a consensus in a private mediation session over the temporary suspension of the conservatorship.
