Prince Harry made the announcement on August 27 that he will be coming to New York City during the United Nations General Assembly High-Level Week and Climate Week in late September.
This will coincide with the time that his older brother, Prince William, is said to be traveling to the city for his Earthshot Prize Innovation Summit. But, fans must not anticipate a reunion between the royal brothers.
Most, if not all, are aware that, because of his migration to the United States and subsequent criticism of the monarchy, Prince Harry has been considered a royal exile ever since he made his move.
Now, an unnamed source has informed Star Magazine that Prince William considers Prince Harry's trip to be a provocative act. This is because, according to a spokeswoman, the trip will "advance a number of his patronages and philanthropic initiatives."
“It smacks of him deliberately timing his own schedule to taunt William in some way,” the anonymous insider stated.
Taking a cue from his father, King Charles III, the 42-year-old Prince William would most likely choose to disregard the fact that Prince Harry, who is 39 years old, is in close proximity.
“[Prince] William has no interest in seeing [Prince] Harry. He’s not going to be inconvenienced by any petty antics,” the undisclosed informant stated.
Meanwhile, other reports suggested that the rift between Prince Harry and Prince William continues to grow stronger.
According to the BBC, the brothers managed to dodge yet another embarrassing encounter with each other on August 30 while they were attending a memorial service for Lord Robert Fellowes, who was the brother-in-law of the late Princess Diana.
“The brothers were at the back of the church, apart. They neither spoke to each other nor were seen looking at each other,” royal expert Hilary Fordwich told Fox News Digital.
“Prince William and Harry are currently not on speaking terms, and everything was carefully choreographed so that they wouldn’t have to interact with each other. There was nothing joint about this appearance. It was two family members showing their respect in a personal capacity. Off duty,” Kinsey Schofield, host of the “To Di For Daily” podcast, said.
The author of "The King," Christopher Andersen, stated in an interview with Fox News Digital that "this is proof positive that the war of the Windsor brothers continues." This is despite the fact that Prince Harry's attendance at the funeral was considered "significant."
“There’s clearly still plenty of bad blood between them,” he added.
Following Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's departure from the royal family in the year 2020, the brothers became estranged from one another. The pair stated that the reason for their departure was due to what they referred to as the intolerable intrusions and racist attitudes of the British media.
The publication of Prince Harry's book, titled "Spare," only served to stoke the flames of controversy, as he disclosed personal information about the royal family and activities that took on behind closed doors.
