The public expression of Prince William and Princess Kate’s wish for Prince Harry to have a "Happy 40th Birthday" on Sunday has left many people wondering whether or not the brothers would be able to reconcile their differences.
Even though there have been persistent rumors that the siblings are at odds with one another for a long time, the pair chose to repost a birthday post from the Royal Family along with the congratulatory message. At the memorial service held for their late uncle Lord Robert Fellowes, which took place a month ago, the princes were recently reunited, although it was stated that they did not speak to each other, as per PEOPLE Magazine.
During the funeral, the two individuals reportedly sat on opposing sides of the church and stood "virtually back-to-back" at one point before going their separate ways. This information comes from unnamed sources.
After shedding light on their troubled relationship in his explosive biography Spare, which includes allegations that a "piping hot" William slammed him to the floor at Nottingham Cottage, Harry has now revealed that their relationship has been a source of contention.
Following the funeral of Prince Philip, he pleaded with his "boys" to refrain from making "his final years a misery." He also stated that King Charles was compelled to stop a row following the funeral of Prince Philip. As a result of his portrayal of Princess Kate in the book, an anonymous insider informed The Times that it is highly unlikely that Prince William will reunite with Prince Harry in the near future.
Just a few days before the couple's wedding in 2018, the Duke of Sussex asserted that she had caused Meghan Markle to shed tears and that Princess Kate had urged Prince Harry to wear his notorious Nazi Halloween costume.
Prince William has not yet provided his own public opinion on the situation; however, people who are close to him have reportedly witnessed the impact that the rift has had on the prince, who is believed to be estranged from his brother.
Although it is common knowledge that Prince Harry and Prince William have not communicated with one another since the funeral of Queen Elizabeth in September 2022, the question was posed to readers of The Mirror as to whether or not they believe the two brothers will ever be able to reconcile their differences. Approximately 2,958 individuals participated in our survey, and a sizeable 2,550 of them were of the opinion that the siblings will not come to an agreement.
"It is sad but I don't think the brothers will reconcile. Harry is so blind to all the hurtful words he has spoken as well as written about very private moments about Prince William. When trust is lost in a relationship there will always be a question of when will Harry betray his brother and family again,” one reader wrote in the comment section.
"Harry has destroyed the trust he had in the RF. His betrayal is unforgivable. I have been betrayed and I haven't seen or spoken to them in 12 years. Some things you just can't sweep under the carpet regardless of your heritage,” another user suggested.
"If it was my brother who betrayed me that way on a world stage I would never ever have a word with him again," a third source stated. "Some things are beyond forgiving. Blood is thicker than water they say. Really? Until you've lived it you can't comprehend it,” a fourth reader said.
"The monarchy must have truth, loyalty, and dedication for them to do their job and survive. There comes a time in life, if someone in the family keeps doing things that upset and cause problems, someone has to stop what is going on. I am sure William loves his brother, but he has an important job to do and cannot allow this to continue,” a fifth user explained.
Meanwhile, 11 percent believe that Prince Harry and Prince William will make amends. "Like all siblings we all need each other eventually. If possible I would love to see them back together. It is what Diana would want for her sons, not this torn apart situation they have. The children are missing out on their cousins,” one reader wrote.
The option “Other” has been picked by only three percent of respondents to our survey. It has been reported by several informants that Prince Harry has been in communication with King Charles in an effort to assist with the restoration of their relationship. This has led to a great deal of speculation that he is wanting to return to the royal fold.
