While filming the music video for "The People's House," a song from his upcoming album "Forever," in Nashville, Jon Bon Jovi prevented a woman from plunging off a bridge.

"He went up to her, talked to her, pulled her to safety, and they embraced?" an eyewitness told In Touch Weekly. "It was very emotional."

Although the 62-year-old rock musician received public gratitude from the Nashville Metro Police Department for saving the day, Bon Jovi has declined to comment on the event.

"He's an extremely private guy, and he wants to be as sensitive as possible to the situation and the woman," the anonymous insider added. "Jon has played things close to the vest and kept secrets for years - he doesn't just go around sharing details about his personal life. He didn't even tell people when he got married [to Dorothea Hurley] in 1989!"

The singer of "Livin' on a Prayer" disclosed that he had vocal surgery in 2022, Entertainment Weekly reported.

"Every day is a struggle," he admitted recently. "But I'm more than capable of [singing] again."

Those close to him believe the rocker has a pure heart, so his recent act of kindness comes as no surprise.

“Jon isn’t showy about his charity work,” an undisclosed informant said of the “It’s My Life” singer. “He never brings it up, but it’s a huge part of his life.”

The tipster pointed out that he “donates to so many causes, and he has his own foundation that he started 20 years ago that really focuses on helping people struggling to make ends meet.”

In 2006, Jon founded the Jon Bon Jovi Soul Foundation to “break the cycle of hunger, poverty and homelessness through developing partnerships, creating programs and providing grant funding to support innovative community benefit organizations,” according to the organization’s website.

The Jon Bon Jovi Soul Foundation oversees the chain of restaurants, Jon's JBJ Soul Kitchen, which feeds both paying patrons and those in need. Over the years, Jon and his lifelong partner Dorothea Hurley have put in a lot of effort to make sure that no one goes hungry.

In 1980, Jon and Dorothea met in high school. Growing up, the two went to Sayreville War Memorial High School in Sayreville, New Jersey, where they were classmates. They are happily married since 1989.

Jon previously stated that their "mutual respect" is what keeps their marriage strong after more than 40 years of marriage.

“We grew equally and not in opposite directions,” he said.
