The ambitious Ryan Seacrest is currently filling the large shoes that Pat Sajak left behind on “Wheel of Fortune.”
According to reports, the money-hungry host views the high-profile post as a stepping stone to establishing a profitable television legacy that can compete with the game show's originator, Merv Griffin. Many further projects are being worked on for Ryan, who is 49 years old and estimated to have a net worth of $450 million, Variety reported.
“Ryan has moved on from idolizing and emulating the late Dick Clark and seems fixated on the kind of mongul status his other idol Merv Griffin built in the ‘70s and ‘80s,” an insider told The National Enquirer.
The host of “American Idol” has successfully initiated initiatives in cable television, broadcast television, and chatfests. He has covered "all the Mervs-style bases."
However, the source added, “To use a sports metaphor, Ryan has hit a lot of home runs but he’s never won the World Series and still has to prove he’s worthy of the Hall of Fame. That’s where Wheel comes in, and that’s why Ryan felt it was worth departing Live with Kelly Ripa to host that show.”
“Wheel of Fortune” encompasses a wide range of “sub-categories, like computer and mobile games, products, and even slot machines in Las Vegas," it went on.
The mole claims that Ryan's long-term goal is to build something that is just as long-lasting and profitable, even though Ryan's representative has denied our tale with any credibility.
An insider observed, "That is the path to becoming a billionaire, and the best way for Ryan to learn how to do that is to embed himself inside this franchise and learn from it from the ground up!"
Since September 9, Ryan has been hosting “Wheel of Fortune,” and the ratings from his first week indicate that he may be an excellent candidate for the post, as per Newsweek.
According to a source, Ryan impressed 9.63 million people with his first appearance as the presenter of the popular game show during season 42.
Although the new host did not get the highest ratings in the show's history, he was able to keep his audience's attention the entire time. According to the outlet, the first week had an average of 8.31 million viewers, a 21 percent increase over the first week of season 41.
