Liam Payne, a former member of the boyband One Direction, has died following a fall from the third story of a hotel in Buenos Aires, as reported by local police. He was thirty-one years old.
Payne's demise transpired in a hotel located on Costa Rica Street in the Palermo district, as per a statement from law enforcement issued to CNN.
After someone reported an angry individual who appeared to be under the influence of drugs or alcohol, the police were summoned to the hotel. Tragically, when SAME (Emergency Medical Care System) personnel reached the scene, they verified that Payne had already died.
The authorities are still trying to determine if the victim fell accidentally or committed suicide. Grieving the death of a gifted musician whose songs moved millions has left friends and admirers in disbelief.
Many in the music industry are reflecting on Payne's influence on One Direction and beyond as they gather to honor his memory. As the inquiry continues, more information will likely become available in the next few days.
The artist was primarily recognized as a renowned British boyband One Direction member. The band, which includes Harry Styles, Zayn Malik, Louis Tomlinson, and Niall Horan, was established in 2010 after participating in the UK edition of the reality competition series The X Factor.
One Direction declared a break in 2015. Payne launched his inaugural solo album, “LP1, " in 2019. In March, Payne unveiled his LP, "Teardrops."
Payne has a son, born in 2017, with former Girls Aloud member Cheryl Cole.
This is a developing story and will be updated.
Meanwhile, Liam was accused of manipulating his fans a few days ago, which led to him drawing criticism for his behavior.
Maya Henry, the singer's ex-girlfriend, recently uploaded a video replying to another user on TikTok. According to her, she has no clue from which number she has been receiving messages from him since they split up because he has used multiple numbers.
She went on to say that he would threaten her via email and then destroy the phones of her friends and mom.
“He praise on One Direction fans because they will always be loyal to him and won’t tell on him,” she added.
One former fan of Henry's took to TikTok to share her story in reaction to Henry's video. Messaged her on Instagram, Payne was filled with shock and bewilderment. Unexpectedly, things quickly escalated when he began to request explicit images and videos, which she dutifully sent back to him.
“This went on for two years, and it was during times where he was in relationships, having babies. He was messaging me like two weeks after his baby was born, he messaged me to send explicit photos,” she added.
The TikTok user went on to explain and said, “He was harassing me for videos and photos and I was sending them and never leaked any but he didn’t because he didn’t want anyone to know and I’m pretty sure he has done this to other girls.”
She wished this would go out to someone so others would feel compelled to speak out. After viewing these videos online, internet users vented their frustration with the situation on social media.
