Following news that the NFL player has split from Brittany Williams, Hailee and Josh were introduced in May 2023. After that, a source told PEOPLE in May 2023 that they were dating and "having fun."
Josh mentioned the couple's hardships when their relationship went public on the Pardon My Take podcast in August 2023. Questioned about seeing news about him "making out with his girlfriend," per Page Six.
"The fact that anybody cares about that still blows my mind," Josh remarked, adding that some photographers invaded their privacy. He recalls an "on a boat" photographer trying to shoot him and Hailee.
Josh said it was a "gross feeling" and created a feeling of "insecurity" for the couple.
The pair's NHL debut was marked by the October 2023 game at KeyBank Center in Buffalo. Josh and Hailee were spotted in a suite in the stands for the season opener.
Hailee and Josh's mother picked up some stuff at Leveled Up Buffalo in East Aurora, N.Y., that month.
In July 2024, the quarterback uploaded a sweet photo of himself and Hailee hugging in front of the Eiffel Tower in Paris, officially announcing their romance on Instagram.
In her newsletter "Beau Society" last month, the actress revealed that she and Josh had to figure out how to avoid a "bad omen" after buying each other the same Christmas gift.
As she explained, they bought each other the same cooking knife, in a "different colorway," since they "love" to cook together.
"After we exchanged our knives lol, he told me there's an old wive's tale that if you gift your significant other a knife you have to pay for it, otherwise it signifies the severing of a relationship," she wrote. "So we exchanged quarters so we didn't have that bad omen."
The "Most Girls" singer added, "anyway, oh my God, I love this knife! I don't know much about a chef's knife, but it is just so nice and makes me feel official."
The announcement rapidly gained traction, with fans and followers inundating social media with their responses.
