Because of an injury he sustained in New Orleans, Justin Timberlake decided to cancel his next tour stop.
The singer has reportedly decided to cancel yet another tour stop, as reported by PEOPLE.
As a result of a persistent back injury that he recently acquired in New Orleans, the 43-year-old singer of "No Angels " informed his fans on Saturday, November 30, through a message posted to his Instagram Stories that he is canceling the Forget Tomorrow World Tour event that was scheduled to take place in Oklahoma City on December 2.
"I'm so sorry Oklahoma City," he wrote. "I have to cancel the show on 12/2. I hurt my back in Nola and my doctors have instructed me to rest a little bit longer. Thank you for your support - y'all know I hate doing this."
Timberlake's most recent performance was on Monday, November 25, in New Orleans, which is also the day the injury is believed to have occurred.
According to Geo, this is the third show that he has eliminated from his schedule in the past three months.
"I haven't been feeling great the last few shows and turns out I have bronchitis and laryngitis," he said in an Instagram post dated October 22nd. "I'm so sorry to say I do need to reschedule the next few shows from 10/23 through 11/2 [...] Thank you for understanding - I'll make it up to you ️"
Additionally, the former member of *NSYNC had earlier canceled and rescheduled his gig set for October 8 in New Jersey due to an unreported injury.
"I'm so sorry to postpone tonight's show. I have an injury that is preventing me from performing. I'm so disappointed to not see you all - but I'm working to reschedule ASAP. I promise to make it up to you and give you the show ya'll deserve," he wrote on Instagram. "Thank you guys for understanding. Appreciate your support always."
Having taken a break from touring for a period of five years, Timberlake made his comeback with the Forget Tomorrow World Tour, which was initially announced in January. In addition to highlighting the star's sixth studio album, Everything I Thought It Was, the event lasts two hours and boasts a lineup of 29 songs. In addition to that, it features songs that are well-known among fans, such as "My Love," "Cry Me a River," "Suit & Tie," and "Rock Your Body."
Nine additional sites are scheduled for the Forget Tomorrow World Tour in the United States in 2024, and the tour will continue throughout 2025 in the United States and overseas until July.
Timberlake's statement elicited diverse responses on social media, with certain followers articulating concern and others expressing irritation.
"Health comes first! Take all the time you need, JT. We'll be here when you're ready," one fan said.
"Third cancellation in three months? Maybe he wasn't ready for a full tour yet. Disappointed but still love him!" a second netizen quipped.
"Wishing him a speedy recovery. But man, these cancellations are tough for fans who've been waiting years," a third chimed in.
"Back injuries are no joke. Hoping he takes care of himself before pushing through more shows," a fourth fan wrote.
"Maybe it's time to rethink the schedule. Fans deserve better communication about these health issues," another netizen wrote.
"This tour has been cursed from the start. Hope JT bounces back stronger," a fan wrote.
