Just hours later in Las Vegas, a Tesla Cybertruck exploded outside the Trump International Hotel, killing one person and injuring seven others. Authorities found fireworks and other explosives inside the vehicle, and while the cause remains under investigation, the incident is also being treated as a possible act of terror.
New Orleans Police Superintendent Anne Kirkpatrick labeled the attack in her city as "not just an act of terrorism. This is evil." FBI investigations into Jabbar's background revealed a history of social media posts aligning with ISIS ideology, with videos uploaded just hours before the attack expressing his intent to kill. President Joe Biden addressed the nation, stating, "There is no justification for violence of any kind, and we will not tolerate any attack on any of our nation's communities."
