MAGA lawyer Mike Davis took his warnings a step further Monday, claiming Judge Juan Merchan could face potential civil rights charges over his rulings in Donald Trump's fraud trial. He also pushed for January 6 defendants to file lawsuits, pledging no federal protection for prosecutors facing legal challenges.
MAGA Lawyer Warns Judge Merchan of Legal Consequences
On Monday, MAGA lawyer Mike Davis went a step further in his threatening statements, warning Judge Juan Merchan that he, too, could suffer legal ramifications for his involvement in the numerous investigations and prosecutions of President-elect Donald Trump.
The New York judge should be ready for an investigation into potential rights violations due to his rulings while presiding over Trump's fraud trial, which led to 34 felony charges, Davis said during an interview on the right-wing Benny Johnson Show.
Federal Civil Rights Violations Alleged by Davis
According to Davis, he would advise Juan Merchan to seek legal representation, since his actions constitute a grave violation of federal civil rights laws (18 USC §241).
Those who were charged for their acts on January 6 should "certainly launch civil cases" against the "Biden prosecutors" who pursued the accusations against them, according to Davis, who had previously informed the presenter as much.
In addition, he said that the Trump administration's justice department should not try to protect them.
Call for Prosecutors to Be Sued Individually
Moreover, he elaborated that the federal government shouldn't pay any money to the prosecutors in question, that they should instead allow them to be sued in their individual capacity, and that they should be required to retain private attorneys to defend themselves.
From a purely civil standpoint, this might lead to the downfall of those responsible, as pointed out by Johnson.
He then warned that the perpetrators might face personal, political, and financial ruin as a result of this.
Severe Consequences Predicted for Prosecutors
"God willing," Davis replied. "They should face severe, and I mean the most severe legal, political and financial consequences for what they've done."
He also mentioned that it will begin at noon on January 20, The Raw Story shares.
Controversy Over Judge Merchan's Gag Order
Concerning Merchan, Davis stated that the judge "really stepped into it legally" by imposing "an illegal, unconstitutional gag order" on Trump. This order forbade him from criticizing witnesses in the hush-money trial or disclosing any information regarding the families, jurors, or court employees.
There are so many fixable mistakes in this false New York case, Davis stated before launching yet another assault on the judge's daughter.
Trump's Role Questioned Amid Fraud Trial Disputes
With an air of exaggeration, Davis questioned whether Donald Trump is meant to be preoccupied with his role as president-elect, so he can face Juan Merchan's reprimand in this Marxist, third-world, hellhole courtroom-even if it's over video chat or Skype.
