After being forced to evacuate their $14 million Montecito property, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle exhorted their followers to show their support for those who had lost their homes as a result of the horrific wildfires that occurred in Southern California.

In a message that was posted on their website on Thursday, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex provided links to other foundations and resources that could be of assistance.

According to People, the Sussexes wrote in a statement that wildfires in Southern California had recently swept through neighborhoods, causing devastation to families, homes, schools, medical care centers, and more, affecting tens of thousands of people from all walks of life.

They continued by stating that a state of emergency had been issued and then suggested that if people felt compelled to help, they could find some resources and ideas to assist.

They cited many organizations that would assist benefit people in need, such as José Andrés' World Central Kitchen and their own Archewell Foundation, which they said is "serving meals to both first responders and victims of the fire." The royal couple also mentioned various other organizations that would help benefit people in need.

The California Fire Department and the Los Angeles Fire Department Foundation are both contributing to the support of firefighters who are putting their lives in danger to save their communities.

Following that, the former cast member of "Suits," who is 43 years old, and her husband, who is 40 years old, discussed two organizations that are dedicated to rescuing and evacuating animals. They named the Animal Wellness Foundation and the Compton Cowboys.

The duo also shared that Airbnb and 211LA partnered "to provide free, temporary housing for those who have been displaced," and Baby2Baby is providing essential supplies like diapers, clothing, hygiene products, and emergency kits. The bookstore, All Power Books, is also offering supplies and water for pickup, they shared.

After that, Meghan and the author of "Spare" invited the public to "open your home."

"If a friend, loved one, or pet has to evacuate and you are able to offer them a safe haven in your home, please do. And be sure to check in with any disabled or elderly neighbors to see if they need help evacuating," they wrote.

In their final statement, the two individuals urged others who are in a position to "give back."

They urged people to consider donating clothing, children's toys, and other essentials, noting that some families and individuals had nothing left. They also mentioned that the American Red Cross was on the ground helping those in need.

After wildfires broke out on Tuesday night and quickly expanded across the Pacific Palisades and other dense communities, destroying thousands of homes, at least five people have been killed, and around 30,000 inhabitants have been ordered to leave their homes. Page Six reports that the fires have also destroyed thousands of buildings.

The expansive property that Prince Harry and Meghan have purchased is located within a "high fire risk" zone, according to a spokeswoman for Southern California Edison who talked with the Telegraph on Wednesday.

The spokesperson continued by expressing the possibility of power outages in Santa Barbara County due to "a Red Flag Warning and increased risk of wildfires." The spokesperson further stated that they were calling "affected customers" in various locations, including Montecito.

It is not yet apparent whether Prince Harry and Meghan were instructed to leave their estate, where they have been living with their two children, Prince Archie, who is five years old, and Princess Lilibet, who is three years old, ever since they retired from their royal obligations in the year 2020.

The fires have already caused the residences of a number of famous people to be destroyed, including Paris Hilton, Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt, Anna Faris, Leighton Meester and Adam Brody, Miles Teller, Eugene Levy, Billy Crystal, and a number of other famous people.
