Google is becoming more innovative with its Artificially intelligent lineups. The tech giant first illustrated its newly developed technology named, Duplex- the AI system designed to make human sounding voice calling, back in May this year.

The demonstration was short and raised many questions about its real implementation among the tech enthusiast. However, Google now seems to clear those clouds of queries.

Forbes noted that Google will start a limited testing of Duplex in a few weeks. Before that, the company recently gave a chance to a group of journalists and tech specialists to explore the AI-driven human sounding bot, at a dedicated demo event. At the official briefings, the system will be able to do human sounding voice calls on behalf of anyone and do many tasks, taking an appointment for a haircut, and booking tables at a restaurant among others.

In order to offer a real-time demonstration of Duplex, Google gave the latest demo of a table reservation by the system in a restaurant in Mountain View in California.

Potential sources hinted that Google will start testing Duplex in a few weeks from now. However, the testing will not be offered to the general users or individuals.

Nick Fox, Vice President of product and design for the Google Assistant said that the first testing will be limited to "a set of trusted tester users," with which the company has already made tie-ups. Sources even suggested that Google has partnered with a few well-known groups of restaurants for this purpose. However, which restaurants are on the list is still a mystery.

According to the group of journalists who were present at the latest demo session of Duplex, the system offered similar activities as shown in May 2018's Google I/O conference, when the human alike voice calling bot made its first appearance.

However, the group claimed that certain developments in terms of voice clarity and quality have also been staked up now by Google in the system.

A new addition that had surprised many was the call recording attribute of Duplex which was not included when it first showed up in May.

The Verge reported that Google will introduce new features of Duplex in various phases after its official launch.

First, it will be able to make calls for holiday hours.

Later, the capability to make restaurant reservations will be added to it this summer. Lastly, it will be able to take haircut appointments. This will be the three automation service offerings by Google's Duplex.

The official roll out date for Duplex is expected to be announced soon by Google authorities.
