The alliance between China and France continues to blossom as both countries sought to strengthen cooperation in the international trade and commerce. Meanwhile, reports reveal a soon-to-rise eco-tower project in Hangzhou, signaling the much-improved relationship of the two nations.
In a Xinhuanet report, Beijing is looking to advance bilateral ties with France in its recent visit to the European country. Chinese Vice Premier Hu Chunhua reportedly met on Monday French officials including Foreign Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian, Agriculture Minister Stephane Travert, and Finance Minister Bruno Le Maire.
Hu emphasized China's willingness to fully enact the agreement reached between the two governments during the summit.
One of the provisions established was for both countries to show a strong stance against trade protectionism and unilateralism. Because of this, the Xi Jinping government will remain steadfast in its opening up policy, no matter how the global economic situation plays out.
In exchange, China expects its counterpart to implement a more lenient restrictive policy on its exportation of goods into the country. Moreover, the Emmanuel Macron government should provide a "fair, transparent and predictable business environment" for any Chinese enterprises looking to set its roots in France.
More economic provisions are expected to be signed between the two cooperating countries during the upcoming sixth China-France High-Level Economic and Financial Dialogue.
In a related news, Forbes talks about a new construction project that was launched in Hangzhou, in China's Zhejiang province.
The said structure is named the New FrenchDreamTowers. Its distinctive design features a blockchain-based network which will manage the superstructure's environmental system such as the air quality and energy storage.
The project is the brainchild of French architecture firm XTU Architects, in partnership with another French firm, Systematic. An undisclosed Chinese developer company is also said to be on board to bring the skyscraper project into completion.
The towers lay witness to the ongoing friendship of the two world communities whose shared goals include creating projects that are sustainable, eco-friendly, and aesthetically-appealing.
