The Oppo Find X officially made its debut at an exclusive event in Taiwan. The device will come in three variants, namely the Standard Edition, Super Flash Edition and the Lamborghini Edition.

Pricing and availability were also bared for the Oppo Find X variants. Scheduled to come out first is the Standard Edition, set to be available by mid-August and will cost around $848. There is no official word on when the Super Flash and Lamborghini Edition will come out although the Chinese smartphone manufacturer could confirm that next month.

For now, all eyes will be on the Oppo Find X Standard Edition which is considered one of the new players in the premium flagship category according to Pocket-Lint. It sports an almost all-screen front; the device boasts of a 6.4-inch AMOLED capacitive touchscreen display (2340x1080 pixels, 19.5: 9 ratio).

Providing the needed power for the device is an octa-core Qualcomm SDM845 Snapdragon 845 chipset backed by an Adreno 630 GPU, 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB internal storage. There are no provisions for expandable storage using microSD for this device.

Other than that, the Oppo Find X also comes with dual pop-up 16 MP +20 MP primary camera that can capture, at best, 2160p @ 30 fps. It also comes with a secondary pop-up 25 MP front-facing camera that should delight folks who love to take lots of selfies.

The smartphone is dual-SIM ready, make use of USB Type-C connectivity and bank on a non-removable Li-Ion 3730 mAh battery that is supported by 5V/4A VOOC flash charging, Gizmo China said.

For those concerned about biometric security, the Oppo Find X does not come with a fingerprint sensor. Instead, the device will make use of face recognition technology for unlocking or doing transactions using the phone.

While there is no official release date on the two other variants, the only thing sure is that both would require buyers to shell out a bit more. The Oppo Find X Super Flash Edition will retail for about $978 while the Lamborghini Edition is a tad bit more expensive with a $1,632 price tag.

The pricing structure of the two other variants is tied up to the amount of ROM that goes with them. The Super Flash Edition will offer 256 GB of storage while the Lamborghini Edition jacks up the ROM to 512 and make use of a smaller 3,400 mAh battery.

The Oppo Find X Standard and Super Flash variants will be available in Bordeaux Red and Glacier Blue color variants for the Taiwan market. The Lamborghini Edition will come only in a single color option but with a textured carbon fiber back.
