The Vivo X21 continues to be the top dog for the company as of this writing although a successor is not far behind. The company’s next offering has cropped up from the company’s official site in China with reservations for the smartphone already starting.

While this should serve as good news to buyers who are eager to see the next installment, the features the device will have to offer are a bit scarce. The listing only shows most of the external specs. This includes a drop-like notch with a screen-to-body ratio of 91.2-percent, Gizmo China said.

Aside from that, images show the phone sporting a back panel made of glass together with AI-powered dual cameras featuring wide-angle lens. The glass rear of the phone also suggests that the Vivo X23 could be available in gradient color options, perhaps similar to the Huawei P20 Pro mentioned in a previous article.

Seeing how Vivo was one of the companies to introduce the in-display fingerprint scanner, the X23 will allegedly introduce a fourth-generation version for an enhanced unlocking experience. Aside from that, all other specs of the next model may possibly come out in the succeeding days.

So far, the grapevine has suggested some of the features the Vivo X23 may potentially carry. This includes seeing a device sporting a 6.4-inch AMOLED display and powered either by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 670 or 710 chipset. It may be supported by 8 GB of RAM and render support for 3D facial scanning technology.

Aside from that appearance at the official site, the Vivo X23 also appeared at a live TV show in China over the weekend. According to GSM Arena, the host of the show placed the alleged Vivo X23 on a selfie stick to snap a shot of him along with the guests. Aside from that, the host also highlighted some of the features of the upcoming device, notably the AI features as he was preparing to take the picture. There is growing belief that the device may officially be launched on Aug. 23.

Vivo is expected to unravel other phones alongside the X23. Already confirmed is the Vivo V11 Pro which will reportedly come out on Sept. 6. The device will feature a 6.4-inch full HD+ screen display backed by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 chipset. It will be further supported by 6 GB of RAM, potentially with 128 GB of internal storage and a 3,400 mAh battery. As for the camera, the word out is that it will come with a dual rear camera (12 MP + 5MP) and a 20 MP front-facing selfie shooter.
