For the last two years in a row, Google has launched its exclusive Pixel smartphones in the month of October. The company is rumored to stick to its Pixel launching steak this year as well with two new Pixel handsets namely, Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL.
Before their official release, both the smartphones have been teased with numerous leaks about their expected specs and features. According to the potential sources, Google Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL seem to hold huge advancements than its earlier editions of 2017.
9to5Google quoted that Google Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL will be powered by Qualcomm's latest Snapdragon 845 chipset paired with the Adreno 630 GPU. Both the variants will be manufactured by Google itself, unlike last year's Pixel stunners-the responsibility of manufacturing of which were given to HTC and LG by Google. Therefore, smartphone enthusiasts can expect to see more Google-exclusive features in Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL than the prior ones.
Both the handsets are expected to be unveiled with 4GB RAM setups. However, some dependable technology sources like GSMArena have even quoted that the handsets may hold 6GB RAM as well. So, phone enthusiasts may see two variants for each of Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL with different memory quota.
PCMag pointed out that Google Pixel 3 XL will boast a 6.7-inches front panel with a display resolution of 2960×1440. The primary variant of Pixel 3 XL will hold a 64GB internal memory whereas, the high-end model of the same will come with 128GB storage space. Both the versions will be powered by a 3,430mAh battery. The most exciting thing about Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL is that these handsets will be the first smartphones to run on Android's latest 'Pie' OS out of the box.
Google Pixel 3 will hold all the same features as Google Pixel 3 XL except for the display size and the notch. Pixel 3 is likely to have a traditional looking notch along with a 5.4-inch front panel. Whereas, Pixel 3 XL is teased to hold an advanced notch with a spectacular cutout in its design.
Both the handsets will allegedly flaunt a 12.2-MP single snapper based rear camera coupled with an 8.1-MP AI-capable perfect selfie snapper. A fingerprint sensor will be placed on the rear end but it is not clear yet whether it will be placed in the middle or it will have a radical change in it. Bloomberg stated that Google will launch Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL in a New York City event on October 9, 2018.
