Huawei just announced its very own smart speaker in IFA electronics trade show in Berlin. The Chinese company joins the race against Google Home, Amazon Echo, and Apple HomePod, with its first ever smart speaker: AI Cube. The company even added some extraordinary features, which haven't been seen in case of any such smart home-bots.

According to Gadget360, Huawei regarded AI Cube as the world's first Alexa enabled smart speaker having an inbuilt 4G router. This will enable users to set their 4G mini sim inside its slot and avail the hotspot wifi connections with this smart-bot. Huawei AI Cube is cylindrical in shape. The upper portion of the same is made of white colored plastic, while the lower part is a fabric covered mesh panel. Besides the micro-sim slot, it comes with an Ethernet port and the power socket.

Economic Times hinted that Huawei is also looking forward to joining hands with major carriers for promoting its first smart speaker. Shudong Luo, Chief Marketing Engineer, IoT (Internet of Things) Product Line stated: "We are planning to sell it in partnership with local mobile network operators just like what Jio is doing with its phones in India," "The AI Cube works like a human ear and automatically adjusts to the surrounding sound effects."  he added.

Primarily Huawei AI Cube is pre-installed with three languages: English, French, and German. The device is available in three color variants: Red, Grey, and Green. AI Cube is powered by HiSilicon Balong chipset which enables to execute multitasking. There is an LED light ring throughout its overhead edge. AI Cube indicates with blue light when Alexa invokes or understands an instruction. The red light clicks on the ring when there is an inactive stage or an error. 

The backend of the same holds a range of LED status conveying lights, one for Wi-Fi, another for LAN, and the last one for 4G signal.  There are also a power button and a HiLink button which enables it to be paired with all other smart devices, and products from Huawei. The official authorities from the company's end stated that Alexa enabled AI Cube will be able to demonstrate and access 50,000 "skills" and apps. 

The users will be able to listen to their favorite music, control house-held appliances, learn new things & lessons and do more exciting kinds of the stuff with the help of AI Cube, as per Huawei. AI Cube will be launched in the markets of Europe, at first, during this Christmas. The expected price tag of the same is still a mystery.
