Vivo is all set to launch its next-gen handset: Vivo X23 on September 6, 2018. The handset will be officially unveiled in China. The company has now started to send out press invites for the smartphone's imagination event. Incredibly, the company's Indian unit will also launch VIvo V11 Pro in India on the same date.

According to MySmartPrice, Vivo X23 will possibly be an advancement to Vivo X21, which debuted back in May in 2018. X21 was a mid-range handset with superlative features. The smartphone was the first commercially available device to sport an in-display fingerprint scanner. Therefore, it is now believed that Vivo X23 will hold the same attribute and it will also come with a mid-range price tag.

BGR noted that Vivo X23 was recently teased on Weibo with full glory. The leaked image also held its specification based comparison with Oppo R17, as both the smartphones flaunt a tiny-notch display. Vivo also recently leaked all the specifications of the X23 handset, by an alleged presentation slide. The company even reportedly put a listing of Vivo X23 on its official website. But later it was taken down. However, the features of the phone have already been traced by many of the potential sources.

Vivo X23 will come with a 6.4-inch Super AMOLED display with a 1080×2340 pixels full HD+ resolution panel. The aspect ratio will be 19.5:9 aspect with a pretty smaller notch. The handset will be powered by the mid-range Snapdragon 670 chipset. In the memory segment, Vivo X23 will boast an 8GB RAM coupled with a vast 128GB of internal storage space. The fingerprint sensor will be set in the display with 4th generation capabilities, making it much faster than that of Vivo X21.

As for the camera section, this mid-range smartphone will be more innovative as it will boast a dual-lens rear camera. The camera will include a 12 megapixel Sony IMX363 sensor coupled with another secondary 13-megapixel sensor. The rear snappers will be complemented with AI capabilities for clicking best ever shots every time. As for the front snapper, Vivo X23 will flaunt a 12-megapixel sensor with AI portrait mode capturing facility.

The handset will run on Android 8.1 Oreo-based FunTouch OS 4.5. Vivo X23 will be available in three color options, namely Magic Night Blue, Phantom Red, and Phantom Purple. The exact price of the handset is still a mystery to be resolved by Vivo as soon as its official launch on the said date.
