Google is celebrating ten years birth anniversary of its popular browser: Google Chrome. While doing so, Google has also certain gifts for Chrome lovers to enhance its browsing experience. The company has included a range of new updates to its browsing sensation. What is more surprising is that Google has new attributes for its Chrome browser, in almost each and every platform: PC, mobile and tablet.
According to TNW, Google has inaugurated redesigned and revamped features for Google Chrome desktop, Android and iOS editions. Firstly, the company added a revamped, interactive and dedicated password manager, which can generate strong passwords, by itself, for each and every website, which require log-ins. Simultaneously, it can now manage to remember all the passwords and put it in work, when required by users, making the tasks easier for personal device users, even if they have cleaned up their browser's history and cache.
Next up comes the makeover of its surface, Google has revamped its tabs' look by leaving up the semi-trapezium shape and adding rounded-edged tabs in place of those. This will make the browsing experience of the users better, leaving ample space for opening more tabs into a single window, without much hassle. Also, Google has also enhanced Chrome's autofill feature, which will enable users to quickly fill various forms and passwords, without any incorrect information.
Speaking of search options, Google Chrome can now magnify through more information about any topic, in its search bar- also known as the Omnibox, without launching another tab. Google also stated that users "can now search for a specific tab within the Omnibox, useful for when you're inundated with tabs too small to read." The company promised to add up another feature to its search tab which will allow users to search for anything in their Google drive, by using the search tab only.
In terms of developing its mobile browsers, the company has included a number of improvements including the placement of toolbar at the bottom in the iOS version of Google Chrome, as per Tech2. The personalization options for Google Chrome has been intensified with the ability to create and manage shortcuts, right from the new tab.
Other minor changes have also been included. The company is looking forward to bring some major tweak ups and revamps with the startup options of Chrome 69. However, these advancements are just in the development stage currently, according to reports, and may take more time to reflect in reality.
